Druids Posted: 26 Sep 2007 07:23 AM |
While playing one is great fun, and I'm not in the least complaining that druids are under powered, they most assuredly are not, there are a few things I would like to see done for druids.
One, and this is Bioware's doing, not Vives': Druids are the only class that concentrate on spells yet do not have any sort of mind immunity. Not even a protection from alignment. Would clarity be to much to ask for? And yes, I have been using potions since I remembered they could be bought IG.
Two: There are some spells, specific to clerics, that would be nice to have available to druids in Vives since they are geared towards combating undead. Undeath's eternal foe, and undeath to death. I understand the need to keep a separation between classes, even them all out and then what's the point of having more than one. But these two spells would be nice.
That's all, discuss, berate me, whatever. |

Druids interested in either of those should multiclass to a class that has those capabilities.
A Druid focused on combating Undead, for example, would be a Cleric multiclass.
They level faster than Clerics (better XP gain), have more skills points, and can have a small army with them (animal companion, summon, and animal empathy can double the size of a party). They have damage reduction (Stoneskin and its greater variants), armour-increasing spells (Barkskin) and access to all the Greater <Attribute> spells (Cat's Grace, Bull's Strength, etc). And Spell Resistance too. And at Level 16, elemental shapes which have various immunities. And res spells. And various powerful damage-dealing spells. And various bonuses when outdoors.
There were changes we considered implementing for Druids, but given all of the above, we decided that PCs could multiclass if they wanted those abilities. |

Yeah, I expected there was a good reason, I was just hoping, I'm deffinetly not going to be multiclassing so I'm out of luck on that part then.
Thanks for the response and reason. |
