Tasra's Alive

Heya, this is Tasra. I'm currently sitting in my family's hotel room somewhere north of Chicago, IL. Today, we had the formal graduation ceremony for boot camp. IE: That's now done. Yeehaw. I have liberty until 2000 tonight, 1800 tomorrow night (assuming I don't have watch tomorrow as well as ship staff), and 1900 on Sunday (iIRC). I go to my A school on Wednesday, and I start classes on something like the 27th. I just do basic ship maintanence there until classes start. I will be able to have my laptop once I get there, with internet access in my room. I also get off base liberty every weekend, if what my chief told me is true. I intend to have my laptop there around Sat or Sun, depending on when it gets mailed to me.
Figured I'd let people know, not sure if Shard is back from his tour in the Pacific yet, for now I'm just giving people an update. (I'm not dead yet!) Anything else of vast interest going on?
Nothing much going on otherwise. Going to spend my time with my family now. Make sure some work is done, hope the team hasn't fallen apart too much. I'll probably check this again today and tomorrow, so leave whatever you want to say, I should see it.
Just to let you know, right now, I'm an E-3 (Seaman), and I intend to pick up E-4 (Petty Officer Third Class) in March when they test for it again. (I need 6 months as E-3 and they only test for E-4 twice a year) Not sure what else to say right now, but I'm going to get some real food, and spend time with my family, and enjoy liberty. |

Welcome back. IG? Well, here's news: people are still talking about beating back the hordes of the Atalan. Looks like Hans or one of your others will be around for it.
Plus ca change...
Shard's not back yet, though there are others better suited to give you an update than me.

| Congrats! Libo every weekend? That's all you're allowed? Kinda strict, no? When I went to my schools, I had libo as long as I wasn't on duty. I just got into the reserves, myself, PO3 test in Feb and Aug. What's your rate? I'm a CM. |

Thanks for the warm welcome. A couple of you might have seen me in game already, I poke in once in a while. My connection is really, really horrid. Sprint wireless + BEQ = bad connection :(
I get liberty 1600 -> 0600 on weekdays, and 1600 -> 0600 Friday into Monday. HM here, Aug is a bit too early for the PO3 test for me, I think. Maybe not. I'll probably take a stab at it anyways, if I'm allowed to. Still in A school, currently E3. BTW: Anyone that wants to talk to me, as always, I can usually be found in the IRC channel :) |
