Just a question.. what does this mean exactly?

It means

1/ module sizes can be reduced by removing extraneous data that the server may not required

2/ that loading a module in a "different" way will have two effects

- an easier way to update an existing mod by adding the "fixes" into a directory rather than reloading a 1GB file up to the server (it would take me 8-9 hours to upload a mod if it was 1GB in size, as opposed to the 5 minutes it takes now)

- allow the server to load "larger" modules, that is to say, modules over 1.6GB in size which means more areas.
