Vives 2: W.I.P Screenshots Posted: 19 Oct 2006 12:34 PM |
Thought I'd put up some Work in progress screenshots for Vives 2..... The areas are still in the works, and lighting/skies and finessing need to be done. They're also taken from inside the toolset in 800x600 so won't/don't look as good as they will in game..... Just thought I'd give folks a glimpse of what we're doing........ still working on the current Vives too though ;)

You should put a warning in the title, Ara. After looking at these shots, I almost drowned in a puddle of my own drool. It looks FANTASTIC!!!

| OMG, what a toolset!! Where have you been all my DM life? Wish it allowed for house rules, but the environment looks good enough I don't care. |

Gene, Jessup has a tour coming up.
It wouldnt be right if you were not there to rescue them afterwards.

These are great shots, worth having to dig for as a Firefox user.
From what I have seen the outdoor area is by far the more interesting, and most improved over NWN's tile system. The interior shot looks very similar to what i am used to with NWN.
That said... I am wishing I was getting in on this Vives 2 action. Arathon you are a master builder. |

| I think we have to keep in mind, that many stuff we are used to see in NWN, were comunity added, and they brought new graphics and much more items and tiles along the years. Just to say that NWN originaly has really nothing like NWN2... We might be "fooled" for the aditions, but it looks prety awesome visual wise. |

Now, Ara, I realize that a lot of the more "popular" kids are probably pressuring you, but don't feel like you have to experiment with grass just to get them to be your friends. Some people think it's "cool" to "pass on grass".

Note: Some of the above are being scrapped completely, now that I've got a better hang of the toolset........ look closely and the D'Avilias ones are the ones being re-done from scratch ;)
I'll post some re-done ones when I get time :D |

I've replaced a couple of older (now scrapped ones) with some newer screens from the toolset...... they are, as the thread title says, still Work In Progress however and still require a lot of work.
I'll be posting a few new ones over the next couple of days :D

Amazing!
I wish I could do that!
I'm currently trying to learn Unity3D. So even though I can't build for Vives... I can still build! Woohoo! At last! |

I'll tell you what! I've been traveling thru a lot of NWN2 PWs lately and none, and I mean none, exhibit the high quality that these screen shots show! I can't wait for Vives 2 to be up and running!!

Re: Vives 2: W.I.P Screenshots Posted: 02 Mar 2007 03:18 PM |
What I'm most excited about is that RP is always very high quality. I am excited that there will be an upgraded Vives, as well, but it's you guys who make it great. I still hope there is some sort of available DL for Vives1 or if the page stayed up as a visiting place. I have had so many GREAT experiences here int he past 2 years, it would be a shame to see everything just go away. Not only that some of my better recent writing has been on here, and I'd love to be able to keep the stories we built here.
Sorry I haven't been on in a while. Send me positive vibes as I have been in a serious car accident, and other than the business of my job, which allowed gametime before, I've been dealing with lots of doctors and lawyers, sleeping more as my body heals, and getting a new vehicle, etc. (not to mention that for a month or two I was gaing through NWN2!) I can't wait til things slow down and I can log in again!
Looking forward to playing with you guys again!

These next few are -most definitely- Work In Progress, very rough and raw..... But I'm quite excited about them even so, because what they show are Underground tunnels with proper rooves, which you can walk through (and they can be as long/tall/wide as I like) ......... even put in doors in them (like a railway arch for example........ market? :P)......... They look "good" from above and below, and I can even run water over one, like an aquaduct, or place buildings on top of another..... Another example shows Tall Buildings with doors at different levels and raised walkways and balconies you can go up.
It all lends everything a LOT more 3 dimensionality So........ here they are, I'll post more as they come along:
