((for a brief clarifying history: http://vives.dyndns.org/vives/Forums/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=30117))

~three weeks past~

The one called Mulciber gazed upon the stone monument rising before him, with eyes that were not entirely his own. At least, not yet.

There are always three. A story came to mind..."A Prophet, a Patron, a Prince..." He smiled, watching the coven of three work their magicks. He knew only of two for certain, but most assuredly the last had once called these frozen wastes home. His abdication permeated the air. Something to look into when he had some leisure time available.
Three.

The icy hags of Ischlak poured bubbling sigils upon the snow, their inane babbling and hideousness competing only with two other voices, voices with names, but no mouths to speak them. They too desired what Mulciber desired, though with differing motivations. He would be the one to achieve it. Priority would be his, and The Hollow would once again feed. It mattered not their screams, their pleads, their nonsensical mutterings and platitudes, his time had come. The land had become far too distracted to take notice, and now, so far along in his machinations, too weak to stop them. The Arosian had not the talent, nor the depth of understanding. She still carried the weight of vengeance. He could use that. Besides, seeing her face again would return such precious memories...so very precious.

And then there was Kalid. Snake-oiled lips, bought and sold cheaper than the prostitute she imitates. He admitted that he enjoyed her, that she assisted in the fulfillment of certain...desires. A noble conquest if any. Perhaps afterwards, he could settle down, start a family. He chuckled. The sinister chortle crescendoed to a bellow, then a howl. Merely an appetizer...
The meal first. And then, dessert.

Do not ask of them questions. You will receive three answers, all of which are true and horrifying to know.
