Posted: 04 Sep 2006 10:37 PM ...a lot of the colors that have the same name aren't actually the same color. For instance, the pink cloth is much pinker than the pink leather, which is that bright fuscia tone. And what the heck color is dark torquoise supposed to be?! It comes out kind of grey. Posted: 04 Sep 2006 11:09 PM well, some of it has to do with your video card. from what I hear, the type of card you have (dont know if it has to do with quality, or just the make) can show colors differently than the next guy. and then there is the file somewhere in the NWN installed files, and/or perhaps overrides, haks and such, that contains the color palette... which can be changed so that what you see as blue, to someone else is red. So... *shrugs* yeah, I don't quite understand why they couldn't all use the same color palette. even given the fact that they seem to want to make leather look like leather instead of cloth. Well then... use the exact same color, and just give it a slight shinyness to it or something. meh. but yeah, that torquoise dye probably actually looked torquoise to the person who designed the dye system, and thats why they named it that. Posted: 05 Sep 2006 05:20 AM Bah, you know, for someone as fashionable as myself, you may find it suprising, but I would be happy seeing the dyes removed all together. Heck, at least the Leathers and the Metals, I liked the Vives where the only dyes were the Cloth dyes. Every armor had it's unique color. The HOTU crafting system, I love it. I say Dyes should be exclusively craftable, and an otherwise rare item. Especially leather/metal dyes.
