*A message left in the mailbox of the villa on Asashi Coast* Posted: 28 Aug 2006 09:38 PM |
To whom it may concern,
My employer wishes to inform you that he so adores your little villa. So much so that he has entered in negotiations with the monks of Asashi with regards to purchasing it and the land on which it stands. Rest assured my employer will let you live there in complete peace and harmony. We do not wish to interrupt all your important discussions as im sure you wish to keep some of them secert. We shall keep you informed of the situation as details become available.
Best Wishes,
Terrance Messanger for P&J Enterprises.
P.S.
Love the Sphinxes. |

The gentle glow of the Villa's interior (which very few will actually ever see, as it is secret, special, etc., though not as secret and special as the basement of this amazing location) glows a bit brighter for a few seconds, as a small note is immolated by the quietly sacred fires of the hearth.
Then, all is as it was before. |

| ((Just saying that if after having my character's home taken away, my friends all burned or killed in a war and everything else sacred in my life stripped away slowly piece by heart-breaking piece and then, to top it all off, my one little peaceful hide-away in the world is suddenly sold to criminals.... I think I'd just stop playing.)) |

| (( I don't think any of this is as drastic as it appears and I found both Redman's letter and my own crass reply to be sufficiently amusing. However, if you expect a bunch of paladins to go running around like decapitated chickens each time they get a [forged? disingenuous?] piece of threatening junk mail left at their doorstep, then you need to go back to megalomaniacal villain acadcemy for a refresher course. The response you get is merited by the initial action put forth. Is this a real threat to the Fortress of Solitude? Then let's see more than a snarky note. *shrugs* )) |
