Here are a couple of things I wish to share. Posted: 23 Aug 2006 01:29 PM |
1. I really like playing here but things happen now and again that really piss me off. I was playing with a newer player on the server today when I witness something that really upset me. He was fighting badies in a cave when someone came in hiding and took all his loot in the chests. REALLY come on now!! Talk about bad form. I am not totally sure who did it, but please have a little respect for your fellow players. If it happen to me I wouldn’t care, but since it was a new person I just hope he realizes this Bush league stuff rarely happens here.
2. Ophelia is being actively hunted by almost everyone in Vives. She is currently in a safe house that she has no RP reason to come out of. I mean if you are in the one safe place from a world wide man hunt would you come out? So I am very sorry but she will not be out to play anytime soon.
3. Since Ophelia will be on the shelf for a while I decided to try my hand at a Dwarf. Now, please be patient with me my accent is atrocious. Give me a little time and hopefully it will get better.

The easiest way is just simply putting a ' instead of h.
Also turning every; you into ye or yer am, are, is into be Little tricks like that.
Example: 'Ello, 'ow be ye?
Now if you want it to be pirateish instead of dwarvish just simply add piratish words as: Scury, land lubber, yar and etc. |
Nightmare this may be, but it's not a dream. |

Rob, I've deleted your post. That really wasn't appropriate. Catch me in IRC if you wish to discuss.

1. BOOO! Whoever that is, shame on you! I don't care how you want to justify that kind of crap with your character's alignment or class. There's a difference between RPing your character and just being a creepy a-hole. If you don't kill it, you don't get the loot. Period.
2. How the heck is anyone going to catch Ophelia if you don't play her? I mean, hey, you went along on a murder spree. Safe house play is fine, but it takes the fun out of it for everyone else AND for you. Are you going to keep her gone forever? Is she now shelved entirely so that she can be a hermit, living eternally in the guilt of her actions? Besides, whose to say how safe "safe" is. I'm not suggesting you do anything in particular, really. I'm just making noise and arguments.
3. Do all dwarves have accents? |

2. Don't worry she will be around. I mean how long can you keep a half-orc cooped up? This Post was more for the Tells asking me to come meet them. I am also trying to figure out a disguise *giggles*. Hmm…Maybe glasses and a fake nose. *nods*
3. You can’t have a Dwarf without an accent!! It’s sacrilege or something. |

| Of course all dwarves have accents. It's Bregodim training 101. Similar to how all elves speak common when they're just amongst elves, dwarves actually speak with a rather posh tone when they're just amongst dwarves, discussing the finer points of wines and champaigns (but they spell these things properly). |

I was hiding around in the cave when you two were killing baddies.
I followed for some time, then lost your track and decided to explore the cave.
I reached to the place where I so-called took all the loot, I opened the chest, but as soon as I saw the player coming towards me, I left everything in place. And besides, he didn't kill most of the monsters in the room, he was getting slaughtered by them until I came out of hiding and shot an imbued arrow to get them.
You should realy check these things before saying such things. Anyhow, I lost my will to play, so I don't think this misunderstanding will repeat anyway. |

'Lost your will to play?'
You can't leave, if that's what you're saying.

I wasn’t trying to keep anyone from playing or single anyone out. I have seen people do this before and just wanted to say something. If what you say is what really happen then my sincerest apologies. Please don’t let my uninformed ranting keep you from playing. I am trying to keep people not drive them away. So again, I am sorry.

My frustration isn't only because of you, and I'm sorry if you got that impression. I'm not stopping to play just because of this incidence, I have my other reasons. |
