| How many of you use the driving camera when playing? |

| Not me, but I've done so in the past. It's best when you're a rogue, trying to stealthily sneak your way through darkened rooms full of monsters. Ooooh, the adrenaline! |

I'm constantly changing camera angles in game, zooming in, and zooming out while I use the keyboard to move around. Its a habit from work (CADD drafting and modeling)
I am still disappointed that there isn't a true first person viewpoint, and all the eye sight controls that you get in a first person shooter. |

I use driving cam mode.
It's the most comfortable one.
Except when you try to walk down those steps carved into the side of a cliff. The ones that zigzag down. That's a pain.
And yeah, I can barely stand 5 seconds without zooming or changing angles or the like. |

| Yes, annoyingly so. You pretty much have to use your keyboard to move. The point and click method is lame IMO. |

If Driving Camera is the one that follows you, then NO! I friggin' hate that one. Although it's known that probably 97% of NwN players have to move the Camera every 1-5 seconds. I know I do it every 3 seconds, I just gotta move it. |

I switch to whatever angel is most advantages or dramatically appropriate at the time!
This means I often walk with the camera zoomed all the way to my characters face- which is why i often bump into stuff or dont see things comming ahead of me :P
And yes I too change the camera while stationarily talking alot :) |

Re: camera action Posted: 30 Jun 2006 11:27 AM |
| if you generally use the driving camera then you're going to have to change the angle regularly, because you often get hung up on things or upon entering a new area there isn't an easy place to set your first motion. Back in the OC I discovered the driving camera and found it so immersive I haven't changed my method (despite the difficulties), though lately since I implemented those excellent combat overrides I zoom out to watch the combats progress sometimes (thanks a lot Fubar) |
