Midor Under Siege Posted: 26 May 2006 11:06 AM |
The recent spate of Midor-related attacks reached unprecedented heights today, with the White City coming under direct attack by a fleet of nearly a dozen gigantic birds known as "rocs".
It's believed that the birds were under the control of at least one powerful mage or cleric. They are reported to have attacked by ripping up entire trees and huge boulders and dive-bombing the city, as well as carrying people off or colliding with buildings.
News of the matter somehow leaked out to local areas of civilisation such as Icy Vale, Brandibuck and Ladriel within record time. It's likely that the insurrectionists involved had informers planted and ready to spread the news as soon as the attack occurred.
Descriptions of the informers perfectly match descriptions of the group led by Lance Vandemar.
The extent of the damage, and any casualties or injuries suffered, remains unknown. Midor refuses to comment on the situation. |

Dramatis Personae Posted: 26 May 2006 12:55 PM |
The following descriptions are fairly easy to come by:
Lance Vandemar
They say he's as furious as a Naruthian and as righteous as a Midoran. Snidely, too, it's said that there is little to no difference between his outlook and Midor's—he seems to be following directly in the footsteps of Vidus Khain.
His features and accent are unmistakably Midoran, and he does nothing to hide it. He's of medium height and build, with slightly long, straight brown hair in the style of a Midoran Seafront nobleman, and brown eyes.
Natarsha Stiletto
Anyone who knows anything about big names in Midor will notice the surname as one of the more prominent noble surnames—it's right up there along with Scarletto, Strothenbaum, Augulde and Dia Monte.
She's described as a stunningly beautiful young woman with knee-length, flaming red hair and soulful blue eyes. Early reports of her indicated that she wore a prominent locket, but recent ones indicate she has either hidden it or no longer has it. Nervous and twitchy, but capable of defending herself, she's known to be armed with two short blades and routinely makes a show of dextrously twirling them.
Rumour has it that she has enough knowledge about poisons to make a Syn priest jealous.
Dorson Dalle
It's hard to get any sort of definite report on this bland young man. By the sounds of it, he is completely nondescript and possesses forgettable features.
Cherita Larisse
You could be forgiven for thinking she was only fourteen. Baby-faced, possessing a high girlish voice, Cherita wears her brown hair piled atop her head in elaborately twisted braids held in place by pins and ribbons.
There are unconfirmed reports that those same pins and ribbons can become deadly weapons at a moment's notice.
Quia Zasie
A graceful and dignified woman, her black hair is held back from her olive-skinned face by a headband decorated with alien glyphs. Impressions of her range from anywhere between serene and wise to creepy and mysterious. |

*Common Knowledge*
The situation in Midor has escalated to the point where any non-Midoran citizen seeking to enter, transit or remain in Midor must apply for a visa at the various Midoran guardhouses that have started to spring up. Only Righteous Sword Supremists have the authority to issue visas.
Many disgruntled travellers can be heard complaining about the price of the visa, which doesn't last long at all and costs a great deal of money, particularly for "Inhumans".
The guerilla war continues. |
