Questions on Languages
Posted: 08 Apr 2006 04:48 PM
I was speaking "animal noises" to someone who didn't understand the language, but everytime I'd say something, the words in English would appear briefly on the screen before switching to the "--- -- ---- --- -----" or whatever it is that appears. Is that just a unique problem with the animal noises language? is there any way to shut that off so anyone who can't understand animal noises just sees the "---- -- ---" script? Not a big deal, as I ended up making up my own language on the spot, but it would be nice to have it function properly.

Also, I tried switching to druidic, but everytime I tried, it said I didn't understand "draconic." Is there a special two letter combination to switch to druidic that isnt "dr"?

The world is a fine place, and worth fighting for...

Just type /dm before the [text]. Should do the trick.

And no idea about your second question.

Hmm, that's the second time I've heard about progblems with the Animal language. I'll check out the script; I think something must be wrong with it.

Druidic is du (because Draconic already existed first and it is dr).

After reading this topic, I tried to speak Druidic but it didn't work. Has anyone else tried? Maybe I just managed to mess it up.

Also, try using the Voice Summoner widget.

To see if your Voice is working, type /help and see if the help comes up. If it doesn't, you cannot use voice commands, and have to jump your voice to you.

You may have to use the Voice Summoner twice (once to summon, then the second time to make sure it jumps to your location).
