Rita & Bob Quest

Sorry, but I could not find the 'Broken Quests' thread, so i made a brand new one :P
I did the Rita & Bob quest (you know the one, Bob goes off into the caves out back to find summit to save the farm etc) Anyhow I actually managed to survive, found poor Bob dead, (gave him a proper burial in fire) and returned to the very upset Rita. Only silly cow does not give me an option to tell her Bob is dead and finish the quest.
Now I did take Bobs flail off him, but I left the plain studded leather. (it looked like any leather you can buy in a store, never said 'Bobs Armour' or anything.)
So did I miss summit, or is Rita just to distraught to allow me to complete the quest with her? |

Aiken (my ranger) completed this the other day with help. I didn't pay strict attention to everything I did to be able help you figure out what is wrong. But here's my recollection: I did take everything that i could get my hands on and I believe these were ostensibly used to prove bob's demise to rita. One item that seemed important ******* which I found *******. Maybe it wasn't in the cave any longer when you entered?
The tough thing about these "quests" is that on a persistent world with so many other adventurers running around - sometimes one person intereferes unwittingly with key plot items while afterwords the player attempting to solve the thing showsup, and unfortunately can't complete the thing.
I had to give up on the chicken feed quest the otherday because the chicken feed was gone when I arrived. I finnaally finished it last night.

I'll look into ensuring that the quest item(s) you need to retrieve are available for all players to avoid this issue :)

- a mayor?
- relatives of a baby?
- a guy named Tom Peep?
- evidence for a professor?
- a captain in Icy Vale?
- a captain of a boat taking us to (in)hospitable lands?

| Oh thanks for the replies. There were a couple routes that I never bothered going down after I had found Bob & the nasty queen. Guess I figured wrong *grins* Now I get to go back in and have another fun time weeeeeeee! |
