Thundergranite and Silvertine Posted: 30 Jan 2006 10:56 AM |
*Thundergranite looked around slowly, his eyes used to the dim light, a lone torch burning on the side of a welcoming Inn was a delight to him, he had traveled man long days since the ship.. well since he had washe dup on this land... he knew nothing of the culture of this land, nor did he claim to know much of the geography, he just had a name etched ever so elegantly in the runic Elder Futhark, the syntax and name clearly were a relife to him... tho he could not remember why? nor how? he'd found this name, or of what use it was to him now.. he moved to the side alley between the inn and one of the local houses.. he slumped down.. a few frustrated tears passed down the pale almost victorian esque complexion of his face.. he was shaking... shivering.. and had many cuts and bruises.. clothed in a monks habbit.. Thundergranite had little to his person, bar a small cloth bag and a staff. he coughed.. a strange red substance acompanied the phlegm as it landed in a rather disheartening patch on the cold cobbled floor... then as if recoiling from a sudden wearing off of anasthetic he clutched at his head with his right hand... in doing so, noticing on his hand a ring of jade, and one of ruby ... his head pounded even more... though looking at the rings he was thrown deep into some depth of his memory.....*
*all round him were knights, and infront of him a king and queen*
"Thundergranite, Prince of the mines of Mahklanir, it is in this time that has come to pass that, I Lord Borathorn hearby banish you from the land of Thoranor, you may take only your most stallwart and truest with you, and begone from my kingdom, from this land and from all else that is of my kingdom..."
*then as quickly as the memory came it was gone... he lay in a mesmerised state staring at the runes.. for many hours... suffering greatly from the cold... and thrust twice more into old memory... Silvertine is the name of the ship he sailed in.. as a tempest of a storm gathered around the ship... he yelled out
"FOR THE SHORE, WE MUST HEAD FOR THE SHORE!!"
*his voice drowned out by the sound of the storm... great waves smashed the boat.. and the mast snapped clean in half.. taking Thundergranite and another cloaked warrior over board into the worst of the storm... *
*he awoke in the middle of a vast sea... drifting on the only remaining timber.. that he cold see from his ship... he and the fellow cloaked warrior paddled hard for what seemed several days and nights till they reached an unknown shore.. Thundergranite looked up as they dragged themselves up... onto the sands.. "S..s.silvertine?..." he slipped into unconciousness again...*
*he was not sure how but next time his eyes opened he was at the gate of a town.. he slowly lifted himself up and walked slowly in.... that was how he came to be in this town and in a dark dimly lit alley way with this "Silvertine"... Knowing only that his guardian and former ally of the mines was Blunkan Thrustorian who had sworn by an ancient spirit guardian named Silvertine... whom he had entrusted to Thundergranite during his banishment... *
*he shook his head.. and paced a few steps back and forth in the alley way, his staff clunking on the cobbled street*
*he paced out of the alleyway and stumbled a few unsecure steps before falling, an unknown to him at the time he had fallen at the feet of a town watchmen... he closed his eyes and was uncocious once more... the town watchmen lifted him up and escorted the man to the local Inn.. where he was fed and clothed in his injuries seen too.. by the next morn.. he was feeling somewhat better, for his pain had eased a little and his heart felt warm and beated with a greater regularity than the previous nights... he made his way out of the room he had been put in.. and ambled into the main room of a busy Inn.. *
"Ah look Mr Silvertine has woken from his slumber"
*a voice called out, he looked around for the location of the voice*
((I'd be grateful if some people could chip in a little to help my character get aquainted with the lay of the land etc, i'm new to this PW and the RP of this server, so any help IC of course would be greatly apreciated, feel free to post IC in this thread to help the story along thanks in advance. _- Rogue -_)) |

*shocked... he glanced over..... then retired back to his room.. to think...his energy sapped.. he fell asleep again in a few moment...*
*he had horrific nightmares of his past...one scene kept repeating itself like a message sent to burden him....*
*as this message repeated he had a vision... it showed himself and silvertine the previously spoken of Guardian..
together they slew this messenger of the taunting dream.. and as happened the sheild the messenger held, slammed to the ground waking him once more, this time his eyes met with a clumsy servant girl who had dropped a silver tray carrying a warm mug of ale, he took a sharp glance at her.. then put a hand to her shoulder, before speaking*
"show me the way out..... that passes no waking mans vision nor that of the drunkard... i wish to leave via the side entrance.. the back door... you WILL show me it..... "
*there eyes met breifly, she seemed nervous, she was a pretty young girl, she bowed her head and obeyed*
"if.. you p..p..please sir, it'll be this way then..."
*she hurried down the dark corridor, turning several times down other corridors till she reached a second descening set of steps..*
"if'in your wishin' t'go sir, it'll be this way then, down these steps to be sure, then out the far side door, tis the pantry and ale house, so you'll be ex'ra careful th'en"
*he gave her a swift nod, and disapeared into the darkness of the room bellow... she stood there for a while, before hearing what she thought was the closing of a door, this satisfied her curiosity and she went back to his room to tidy away*

*he descovered 2 blades on a belt around his middle... well... that is to say.. his instincts went for his blades... when he was disturbed by the squeaking of a rodent... he instinctively drew blades and hunted for the creature... he quickly snapped out of it... realising he must have been some kind of huntsman?... sometime.. ago?*
"what is this... what foul omen made me come here... what creature squeaks in the melody of midnight, to torment unforgotten souls.... nay have i been a huntsman... nor am i now a prince.. as the last dream fortold... and Silvertine... WHERE ARE YOU SILVERTINE?" *said in a loud whisper* he sheathed his blades and made his way out of the door as was promised.. near the edge of the pantry..
"Tammuz... Tammuz Thundergranite..... of Thundergranite'n'Silvertine fame... " *he was reading a scrap of paper.... the only ledgable text in a damp journal..* "Well thunder on yur gods!! and thunder on yur children, nine curses on yur generations and dang'n'blast this'ere journal. be the last i ever had.... and now i dang gone ruined it in the water... *though he could barely remember the ship wreck now* well if this last scrap be tellin of the truth... then im this ere Thundergranite, Tammuz Thundergranite... heartceaser of the shadow.. be a bounty on me 'ead best i be not wiv that king an all then... killer I be.. then killer i am.. tho best not be practicing me trade till i know whats what in my ead.. best be finding some friends.. and somewhere to be staying whilst i get me sword arm back in... then its to Silvertine whos gonna be wiv me and we'll be killin them off again... like the old book *he falls to pieces in his hands* say- gah curses! *he throws it aside* now for my first.. trick.... "
*he grins, corrects his posture leaves through the pantry door and scans the town*
The adventures of {Tammuz} Thundergranite and Silvertine commence henceforth! |
