Posted: 13 Dec 2005 06:48 PM ...The biggest sporting news story of the year is the Imperious Imperials of Vives' own Fantasy Football League.... Admittedly, hadn't checked out the fantasy football league standings in a couple of weeks as if had been, well, a pretty awful year. So today, I log on and find out that my stud team finished 5 - 8 and barely squeaked into the playoffs (I honestly don't know how, but computers don't lie, do they?).... Course, I'm the last seed and supposed to face the best team, which finished 12-1...*gulps*... And in a finish worthy of Liverpool-Milan, the Immaculate Reception, NC State and Jim Valvano.... ...Imperials win, Imperials win, Imperials win! GOOOOOOLLLLLLLL!!!! Do you believe in miracles? *clears throat* Anywho, my little celebration is over...fully prepared now to get squashed next week....just needed to have my little moment in the sun.... Go back to smiting good and evil in Vives....thank you for your attention. I got to enjoy all season with the exception of the Doh Line laying a whoopin on my team early in the season :) Too much of my team just didn't show up today :( oh well, congrats on your win. Posted: 20 Dec 2005 07:50 PM Well, since I brought up my miraculous win last week, I should be the one to say that the Imperious Imperials' amazing run was abruptly and rather savagely brought to an end by Pickston's Bandits, 106-64...ouch... Congrats to Pickston's Bandits and Upstate NY Forlorn Hope, who will meet in the first-ever Vives Bowl! Should be a matchup of colossal proportions and will probably be far more interesting than any of the recent real games on Monday Night Football -- Green Bay vs. Baltimore??...yikes! Good luck!
