Chapter one.
As I write this the imp is sitting on my shoulder, it's claws threatening to pierce my robe and rip into my flesh. I think it is a female, I have decided to call it Dremora. I don't know what it's real name may be. It appeared one day, without a word. I know it is connected to me. During the long nights, when I have been too tired to experiment further, I have pondered if it is connected to the Tel bloodline since that day when Abrim fell to the pit fiend. It has no answers to give me but the obvious bond that is always with me. I know what it feels and it knows me. How much can it see, what does it know, does it tap into my soul? I fear I will never know, and still knowledge might be my undoing.
Ilthas is progressing well. The swordsman is haunted by inner demons from his past. After he fell to the centaurs and was raised by lady Fri'el, he has not been the same. I think some presence is affecting him, but perhaps he is doing it to himself. He almost hit Beth, and an hour later he raised his blade to Meram. The battle did not end to his favour. Once he is healed, he will feel even more hate and anger. He will be molded into shape further more.
Soon I will start enchanting items. Tomi has proven to be most useful, although I cannot tell if his trust is real or merely a ruse. It does not truly matter. I do not know how these three things are connected, but I will find out in time.

Chapter two.
Lady Fri'el is a strange woman, mildly put. Out of what she claimed to be sheer bordedom she took me on a journey to a lich's tower. She is strong and beautiful, but I suspect she is at least partly insane. The tower was very interesting however. It was filled with traps and constructs, mundane and obscure. I even saw a golem made out of demon flesh. A very odd thing, but when I met the lich, I understood why it had come inte existance. After Fri'el defeated the undead mage, I greeted it with proper respect, but I feel no awe. All that power it had wasted in an attempt to be with his beloved. It almost made me sick.
This is a land where people wield great power with little understanding of what it can be used for. Even lady Fri'el fits in well, using her immortal power mostly for her own amusement. It is of benefit to me however much it annoys me though, for such people are very useful. Now I have to seek out the healers of the temple in Port Royale. I must have broken something when that lightning trap sent me crashing into the wall. The pain just doesn't stop.

Chapter three.
As I sit here on a makeshift bed, in the ruins of the lighthouse, I cannot help but be fascinated by this woman. She left with a spell, vanished from my life for now. I feel that she was satisfied with my work. She knows what Kal knows, and I know something much more valuable; her name.
I wonder if the skull or the beutiful female face his her real one. Does it matter? I will find out sooner or later. The sun rises now, and like it, my knowledge will spread light over the darkness of the unknown. She seems noble and powerful, and to see the benefit of working with a likewise noble man that honours his word. I sold a naive man's secrets for a name. I have never made a better deal.
It seems I cannot stop thinking about her.
I will concentrate on other business for a while. Fri'el has told me about the transformation to a lich, and in general terms how it is done. It seems like a good move to make once old age makes the body weary. But there is a long time until that will happen, I hope. I also met Jessup, an impressive man. Although he spoke with a foul accent he was more well mannered than I could have expected. Interesting and powerful. I would try to get in his good graces, but I can't stop thinking about... her.
I really have to learn the language of devils, so I can speak with my familiar.
I also had one of the visions again. Just hours after I felt the arcane fire envelop my mind and empower me with new spell knowledge, the trance came upon me. The studies do pay off. The nightmarish visions of my father's death and thousands upon thousands of horrors seemed like they would never stop. Tomi, to my suprise, understood what was going on at least and cut me in the left hand. The nightmare left me, as the pain brought me back to conciousness. More dreams, more power.

Chapter four.
I have seen her but once since our meeting, being insulted by a strange foreign man.
Other recent developments include my work in the Enchanting trade. I successfully transfered the magical power into things - bars of metal and valueable gems. It was a pleasant if draining experience. The vibrant energy of enchanted gems pulses like heartbeats for the true wizard. I think I have finally found a pleasure that is not hollow. Power comes not only from the spells I know but also the things I can make. After the enchanting was done, Tomi managed to make quite a few rings from the magical materials. My plans to assassinate him will have to be delayed into a far away future.
I still have seen no sign of tomes of the infernal language. Maybe I have not been looking hard enough. I have been rather preoccupied.

Chapter five.
I have been to the very bowels of the earth. Spiders in shapes and forms unimaginable swarmed around us, seeking to drain the heat from us and lay their eggs in our flesh. Fortunatly Tomi and Marrya kept them at distance. They are really more useful than constricting, despite the banter in their lowly common accents. All was well as we made our way deeper into the underground kingdom of the archanids, until Marrya finally decided it was time to turn back. It was then I spotted it. A bridge across a deep chasm, built in a stunning architecture. The display of civilization vanished into a simple cave opening. I convinced them to explore it with me, in truth not a difficult task with accompanied by a halfling.
Bones and rotting flesh were randomly spread in the ground in the cave. There was an eerie blue light. I could feel the power as soon as we entered. My eyes darted back and forth, but I couldn't see the source. My companions vanished into shadows, but soon after I heard their terrified screams: run, run! And so I did, for appearently the source of power was not easy to claim, but instead felt hunger and malice. A most interesting encounter. I have been thinking about it, and in time I will return with power to match it.
My lack of knowledge of the Infernal is annoying.

Chapter five.
My studies took an unexpected turn. At the advice of the mutilated Mikaylin I chose to lead an expedition into the Lynaeum maze. There must be a tome on the Infernal language somewhere. The dark, forgotten library seemed so promising. But I found something quite interesting, even if it wasn't what I was looking for. An old book regarding the Lynaeum, the civilization before it's fall. If I could get someone to decrypt it, it might give some useful information.
Then, I was caught eye to eye with a medusa, and woke up at the Seven Sisters. It was a painful experience.
