RAMBLE TO NAILLAMNE......with the ADVENTUROUS THREE.....

~~~Trumpets sound.....confetti flies.....town criers cry......Fat Sam eats another pie.....
All through the lands, word has spread that the Three are to make a trek to perhaps the most dangerous of lands.....the infamous tower of Naillamne. Thousands flock to their local taverns to discuss the ramifications of such a journey. The one question remains however.....Who will join them? Who will be lucky enough to be the.............plus one. WHO.....WHO...WHO....?

It was quiet in Latonei Forest.
It was equally quiet in Mystic Woods; one could say too quiet. All that was about to change.
A trumpet blast shattered the fragile silence of the night. Almost as an afterthought, the rattle of a tambourine followed.
"THE ADVENTUROUS THREEEEEEEEEE," proclaimed a rather dashing old man with a dazzling white beard, "have arrived!"
Silence. Crickets in the night.
From the height of his elbow, a female voice spoke.
"I am thinking this is why we need a—" Her voice lowered to almost inaudible levels, "—plus one."
The man gasped and whirled. She ducked under the trumpet that whirled with him, though there wasn't really any need: it swung about a foot over the top of her head.
"GNOOOOOOME!" he cried in surprise.
The Gnome started and looked about her, alarmed. "Where??"
"Where what?" Confusion filled the man's face as he joined in the search.
"Where is everyone?" she asked... as usual, hijacking the conversation and running off with it in a totally new direction. "Are we early?"
"Only by half a day," the man harrumphed.
"Oh. So there will actually be people here half a day from now?"
"People!" the man cried, giving the trumpet an almighty toot.
"People!" she echoed, looking around again. "Where??"
The man blinked. "Where what?"

great fun as usual. thanks for the laughs Fictrix and chief Also thanks to True Darkness for the added DM kick at the end. It made for quiet an enjoyable event.
P.S. I'm surprised we didn't die more, what with chief leading it and all :) |
