There is an item called the "Mage Tower", you can buy one from the mage merchant in Midor. In it's description, it seems to indicate that it's a device you can use to teleport back to the merchant. It's quite expensive (15000 gold I bought it for).
The problem? It doesn't work, at least not for Freya. I ended up dying because I was in a sticky spot, and I thought that it would work regardless of my "knowledge of magic". It ended up shocking me, and I was mauled by several Divider Chain bears.
Some sort of warning on it may be helpful. I basically just wasted the 15000 gold on it, plus the gold for dying (about 1500 gold) and about 1600 xp. At least in my opinion, if I pay that much gold, it better work 100% of the time. |

I'll try to remember to make some changes to the description when I next have the mod.
On a side note... You might want to talk to some spellcasters IC to find out what it's actually meant to be used for... I know I would never buy anything so expensive in real life (or IG, for that matter) without asking the opinion of the experts! That's just asking for trouble...

A bit of ooc'ness here.
Mage Towers are very magical devices. Not eveyone has the skill to manage them properly. Strangely enough, spellcasters have an easier time of it than warriors.
Perhaps that is why Warriors rely on their weapons rather than magic?
I'm just sayin'...
