"Catman" 'pounces' local nobleman

* In the latest issue of the Port Royal Tribune *
Nobleman Samuel Pendegrass was discovered dead yesterday near the Crossed Cutlasses in the harbor district. Investigators had little to go on except for a small piece of parchment found on the corpse bearing what appears to be a cats paw print. Cause of death was determined to be two stab wounds to the lower back. The only witness ,(who insisted that this reporter only use her first name), was a certain "Candy", a personal trainer, working out of the Cross Cutlasses. She describes a Man in orange and white coming to her aid with the agility of a cat as she was being attacked by Nobleman Pendegrass. While this reporter cannot confirm that the gentle nobleman did such a thing, it seems doubtful that one of his station would. However there were marks on the lady's face. It was difficult to get a full statement from "Candy" in her excited state, but she did say that the man,(whos identity was hidden by a helm), issued a warning to any who would hurt ladies in the Port like her, saying that he would be watching, and that "it" would be stopped, as a cat kills a rat. She went on to thank the one she calls the "Alley cat man", and refused further comment. The captain of the guard was unavailable for comment as was the good queen.
... the ranking officer at the scene did however give the following statement.
" We will not suffer anyone to strike at the nobility like this. There will be justice, we will hunt down this "cat man" , put him in a sack and drown him in the harbor. |

Glancing over the paper quietly, he chuckles at the fact that the newspaper was actually NEW for once. "Cat man, eh? Saved ol' Candy's life. This'll be a trip if'n I ever seen one."
