*when inspected, letter radiates faint aura of Transmutation*
My Lord,
I have reacquainted myself with Mr. Jessup, of whom we spoke during our last meeting. To the best of my knowledge, no suspicion abounds of my intentions or loyalty to the Black Hand, especially given the fact that my identity is excluded even to other members. I am currently monitoring a member of the organization, by the name of Connavar, who is suffering from a breach of mind by way of a Vampiress. The name of the creature is unknown, but it's origins are that of Maldovia, which lies within proximity your city. Blanche La Belle, with whom you are undoubtedly familiar, has assisted in blocking the Vampiress' attempts to control Connavar, at least temporarily, and has been seen traveling with a Knight named Roland, who bears the colors and symbols of Midor. She suspects nothing of me, and in fact holds me in good standing. Jessup wishes to know the identity of the Vampiress in an attempt to barter a deal with her. Apparently he holds a stone of some sort, called a "shard" that may be a great deal of importance to the undead. Other qualities of the substance are unknown, save the ambiguity of "highly magical." I myself know little of this subject, but given the nature of the two parties, they will most likely meet face-to-face in order to conduct any dealings. As it is more likely that Jessup will travel to Maldovia in order to barter, it will be easier for you to monitor his actions. Should it turn sour, the opportunity to strike will be glorious. I think also that Jessup has something planned for the current auction regarding the body of Malakai Fenghuul, particularly with its knowledge of the location of Johe Jaxon. I have acquainted myself with him on several occasions, and he is just as ignorant as the others. Given that he is a member of the reportedly defunct Fire Knives, Jessup will most likely labor to find him. In order to keep tabs on the inner workings of certain groups, I have taken up residence next to a Solitare, Vandle, and Sirac in a mistress' near the dock entrance of the White City. Please send any and all information regarding my purpose to this address. I will be expecting to hear from you soon.
---Brother Trenton Hapsburg
p.s. As I am sure you have undoubtably noticed, there is a magical effect permeating this document. Luckily, I know a scribe or two who can perform this service, albeit expensively. I often use it to prevent any gain from the interception of correspondence from its intended target. This will protect both of us from unfortunate consequences should something unplanned occur.
*a moment later, the words fade into nothingness*
((As I have not yet read from you whether or not you are still working Midor affairs, I still do not know if this is to its intended recipient. If it is not, please forward this to the appropriate party(ies), and inform me of whomever they are so that I may maintain clear lines of communication. Thank you.))

FYI
Lord-Bishop,
I, along with a Jack Flashblade(BH, G), Drogar Dintfin(BH, G), Gasher Bloodspuer, Calia Qu' Estrael, Vrodo Joud, Roland of the Order of Midoran, Jubei Murasame(G), Alton Highhill, and others delved into Nethar'u earlier to meet with it's lord, Nu'men. Apparently Nu'men is in possession of a "tear" or shard, similar to that which I informed you earlier. Ferein desires it desperately, as it has great power within it, enough to eliminate the troubles in their land. Without it, it is likely that Ferein will fall. Before even considering negotiations for the tear, Nu'men demanded that one of the party torture and slay Jack Flashblade--a position from which he was immovable. It was discovered that Jack's soul is evil, and yet none were able to commit the act. Some spoke of it, but did nothing. As such, we returned to Port.
Here, Johe Jaxon was holding a meeting of a group known as the Guyvers. This group is closely associated with the Black Hand. At this meeting, Jaxon discussed what has come to be known as "The List," which contains the names of individuals and organizations that are to be dealt with. Normally these would be idle words, but the Guyver organization has become far more aggressive and openly violent with their intentions. He is addressing the articles, one-by-one, sequentially. His exact words: "Only the Masks. Only the vampires. Only Vidus Kain and his red puppets. Only the Sisters and their minions. Only the demons of the Netharu. Only the deaders and Gukathul Only that bastard Fenghuul. Oh yes his death would be slow and savage."
I would hope that it concerns you for being third on the list.
I have been assigned by Jessup to infiltrate the Masks to find their motivation for the attack upon PAJWT. This is in conjunction with the work being done by the Guyvers. In addition, the Black Hand will be taking a trip to visit Nu'men as well. In all likelyhood, I will be included in this venture. I am told that several members will be going, making them particularly vunerable in the demon lands and so concentrated a group of the Black Hand--including Mr. Jessup. May this information serve you well.

I am assuming that these are both from Vindicta Meus aka Brother Trenton.
Has anyone dealt with either?

In my PM to him regarding the letter to Numen, I made him aware that pdw would be the person to deal with regarding these. And that if he hadnt already heard from him, pdw would be back on Sunday, and able to deal with stuff from then.
Nothing beyond that.

Make public?
We looooved watching “Brother Trenton” work behind the scenes. He was our most devious triple-crossing Menarokian. No player ever caught on to him, not even the ones who thought they knew him. Right, Chief? |

I was tempted not to given how well "Brother Trenton" worked at keeping his secrets, and keeping his triple crossing going.
But then, what they hell.
Some of the most evil of PCs were subtle, subtle, subtle.
Brother Trenton was a real piece of work. |
