"Well, Fezzik, it looks as if we have FINALLY found some semblance of civilization!" Marius said as they crested the hill and spied Port Royale in the distance. "What's that, you say? Yes, Yes, I know you're hungry, so am I! Let's see what we can dig up in this 'wonderful' city I've heard so much about."
As Marius began to traverse the last few hundred yards between himself and the gate to the city, he tried to remember why he had chosen this particular town as his destination. After the other Mages had sent him away, it all seemed a bit fuzzy. "And they called ME mad! Hah! What do those fools know? Fezzik, I think we are better off without that lot!"
They entered the city near dusk, and there were only a few people milling about in the main square. Marius took note of the myriad of shops in the area and made a mental note to visit each one when he had the chance.
Marius walked up to one of the people in the square (a noblewoman, it seemed) and asked if there was somewhere where he and his travelling partner would be able to find a hot meal and some quarters for the night. The woman looked at him quizzically, peering off behind him, and replied "Uh...back down the road leading into the city. Perhaps you passed it on the way in?"
"Blast! I knew we should of stopped before we entered the city. Fezzik, now we have to backtrack and the light is almost gone! Quickly, before it's too dark to travel!" And with that, Marius turned and headed for the city gate.
The woman watched the man as he left muttering to himself, trying to figure out what just occurred. The woman looked around the entire square, and she was SURE that they were the only two people in their vicinity...
(OOC - I am brand new to the server and have only spent a few minutes wandering around Port Royale. It is a very impressive PW so far and I look forward to spending more time here. However, I'd like to know where a lvl 1 newbie can meet other PCs like himself...;) ) |

((Great post! Well written.
If you're looking for other players, the best method is to use the "Players information" widgit to find the locations of other players, then bump into them. Of course, as a newer player, this can be a little harder- but it shouldn't be hard to find at least one player to bump into, and it snowballs from there on in.

Dont find other level one people they dont know what they are doing *grins* find scary people like Barnas and annoy them *nods* or find Quin
