Tarik - Bio Discrepancies. Posted: 21 Apr 2005 03:30 PM |
Hey, In game yesterday a freind and i stoped at the player lounge to read the deitys bios. At the time we aggreed that Tarik would be the best fit should we become aweare of him in game, in the future.
However, the bio posted here on the forums is diffrent. While it share some elements, the bio in game seams broader, less fixated on that evil aspect and he elven devotion. The bio in game makes mention that part of the deity is the nutral desire to survive and prosper, and talks about bandits, outlaws and outcasts.
So, my question then is.. which one is the right bio?
Thanks. :) |

The one in this thread is the most recent, and definitely the most accurate:

Tarik is an Evil deity.
He is the arch-Elven supremecist.
He views all non Elves as prey, to be hunted. Likewise, anyone weak enough not to hunt are themselves prey.
He is almost totally Darwinian in his outlook, believing that the strong will survive the Hunt, and the weak be consumed. However, occasionally a follower will catch his favor and gain suprising compassion and protection from him.

Thanks, it definetly clears up the issue.
You might want to take a look at whats in the Tarik book in the Players Lounge, the conflicts are such as to be misleading.
(On a side note, i didnt chose a deity yet through the conversation with the "vives guide" because it occured to me that doing so might actually tag my character with that name - as if i typed it in on char creation - and because he is not really in any position to know of all the deitys yet.
Does that conversation actually tag you?) |

Yes, that conversation with the guide does tag you- but you can change it in the OOC Players Lounge at a later time.
I'll try to get that book removed.

Does the tag have any actual effect? |
Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.

DMs use it to see what deity you have, it effects some conversations, and affects clerics raising, and the PC being raised.

Ok, not sure if my character is even tagged.
Will have to go and do that I guess, |
