The square in front of the temple was jam packed with people from all over Midor. They had gathered together; young and old, great and small, to hear the living representative of the Just Hand speak. The noise of the crowd lowered as he walked into view on the temple steps flanked by the Knights of the Righteous Sword.
"People of Midor"
The crowd shouted in a frenzy as he addressed them
"People of Midor"
The Bishop waited with his hands outstretched for the noise to die down.
"People of Midor, it must never be said that our Lord is not merciful in his justice. He has therefore made it known to me that there will be a general amnesty for those accused of minor crimes." A benevolant expression crossed the White Bishop's face. "These citizens who have erred in their ways will be given a chance to make ammends and redeem their lives in thanks for the magnanimity of our Lord Midoran."
The crowed remained quiet, unsure of how to take the White Bishop's announcement. Undetered, Vidus continued. "They will be released from Jail this day, and it is our duty, fair people of Midor, to show them the way, to give them the chance to prove their worth as citizens of the White City."
"Long live the White Bishop." came the cry from the crowd. "Praise be to Midoran!"
The White Bishop continued, "Look upon them with understanding, for circumstances been kind to you, and hard on them. Welcome them back into our society." The crowd grew again in volume amid cries of praise for the White Bishop and Midoran.
"Midoran's will be done."
*in the day that follows, only petty criminals are released. Those without money or family to support them are evicted from the city by nightfall* |

Midoran truly is a benevolent Lord.
I only hope this includes amnesty for whomever those blasted guards keep confusing me of. |
Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.
