Marion Galin: Midorian Paladin Posted: 07 Aug 2003 04:22 PM |
Born and raised in Midor, Marion Galin is son to the prestigious Galin family. Being of noble blood, Marion's father, Rodick, though it would be best if Galin upheld and honored the family name by devoting his life to the Midorian: Paladins of the True Light. So it was that Galin spent most of his life in the Paladin Order, learning of its ways and hoping for the day when he could prove his place in his Order and family.
Growing up as he did, Marion was always under strict rule. Being anything less than the best was not tolerated by his family. This is a great pressure to Marion, for he feels that he does not meet his family's standards. So every chance that presents itself to show Marion's ability, is quickly taken. Living this way has made him stern and rigid, but he knows no other way. Growing up he had very few friends, and only associated with those of the church and noble families.
Now that he has become of age to "officially" join the ranks of the Order of the True Light, Galin has been presented with a new teacher within the Order. Sir Odem Lightsheerer, a very respected Paladin of the Order, upon seeing his new pupil, quickly see's promise, but also notices Galin has much to learn. Seeing Marion knows little of the world outside of Midor, and far less about the people of the land, Sir Lightsheerer sends him out to travel the land. Only by passing this test and learning of himself and the world around him can Marion truely become the Paladin he has sought out to become.
"Though your beliefs will be tested, be strong and not forget the Code of Brakus, and we shall see what becomes of you." Sir Odem Lightsheerer |
