Muladhara
To survive, you must stay on this earth. Be healthy, trust others, be stable in your life. Do not fall for your fears. You have the right to be here, seize it.
-Nessa Sairina, Marillawen, Handmaiden of the White Maiden of Midor
Blanche looked at the vale from her window. So many things happened to her in the last month. One thing though came back to her mind as a haunting dream : Vidus Khain. He sent a servant to get her, he knew perfectly that she was alive and he knew where she was. How? She didn’t want to know. He is clever and intelligent, that is enough.
The servant was kind, and she even felt compassion for him. And even if all her body and soul told her to run away, she still walked into Midor to go see his “Master”. At first, she thought it was Romulus that sent this being…but no, it was someone she feared to face alone. Vidus Khain, Lord Bishop of Midor, and the man in Red, as his servant told her. She knew that it was risky, but she couldn’t help it. She followed the servant with hope in her heart up to the Law Court. She did not fear. Not yet.
The door closed behind her. His face was hidden by a book, but her heart knew perfectly who was standing in front of her. She would not let her fears taking over her, especially not in front of him. At first, she thought the best thing she could do is to act as if she was a decoy, but that didn’t help at all. How many times she would have to be remembered that she is blessed by Midoran and it is almost written on her face? She was unable to hide to those who don’t believe in Midoran, it was a tad stupid to think that Vidus wouldn’t have seen it.
And they spoke about how the church was corrupted, about how much she had to come back, about…how he loves her like a daughter. All that time, she was speaking the very words he wanted to hear. But in her head…she wanted to scream, to yell at the one who called her “daughter”, how dare he could call her like that! He is the very one who killed her friends and loved ones! And yet, she did not hate him. She still was not able to hate.
They left each other smiling. Vidus thought she would come back to be on his side, and she promised him she would see him again. That, she would do. But certainly not the way he was thinking…She would come back, soon, to see him yes, but it would be the time where he would be arrested. That, she promised to herself.
It was raining outside, and Blanche still looked at the grass and the rain. She was afraid before, and even now, but her fears would never control her. Not anymore. She had the right to be here on this earth, and she would seize it. |

Svadhisthana
To live, you must celebrate this earth. Love others, allow yourself to love and take pleasure in it, both in body and soul. Do not feel guilt by doing so. You have the right to feel, seize it.
-Nessa Sairina, Marillawen, Handmaiden of the White Maiden of Midor
“A..and that is how you make babies.”
Nessa, a young and beautiful woman, had a hard time to find the just and exact words to not scare Blanche’s pure ears. Nessa finally let a sigh escape from her lips as Blanche nodded slowly for the who knows time. The young lady passed a quick and nervous hand into her soft auburn hair while drinking a full glass of water.
“Any question?” she asked as she put the glass back on the table of the Inn.
“Yes…do you think I am such an idiot to not know that or you felt that I needed a recap of how to make babies just before my wedding?” Blanche said with a smile on her face.
Nessa’s exotic pink eyes widened. Sincerely, she didn’t know what to tell her. She never thought that Blanche was an idiot, far from that, but…she never conceived the idea that she was aware of … that.
“I…didn’t know you knew…I mean…look at yourself you…” she finally said trying to sound as calm as she could.
“I am pure of heart, body and soul yes, Nessa. But that doesn’t mean I don’t know …I never wanted to experience it, not because I am ashame of it, but…only because I do not feel the urge to experience this miracle of life. I do not say tomorrow or…”
Nessa moaned slowly. “Aarrrrgh no don’t say that, please! I just can’t hold it to hear you say that!!!” she then put her face on the table sighing. “And you left me speaking and babbling and all that because you were making fun at me or what???”
“I just couldn’t resist, you looked so serious!” giggled Blanche.
“There…tonight is your night, but only you will see me.”
“How? I mean…how?” asked Blanche.
Nessa leaned and kissed her on her cheek. “I cannot be there in body, but in soul I will…and only you will see me.”
Blanche smiled at her. Nessa was a magician, well someone who could do some tricks. She had no doubt she was telling the truth. And then she thought about what was about to come…She smiled. She had the right to feel, and she would seize it. |

To be yourself, you must define yourself on this earth. Be strong in your will, find your purpose in life and respect yourself. Do not be ashamed of who your are. You have the right to act, seize it.
-Nessa Sairina, Marillawen, Handmaiden of the White Maiden of Midor
A scream made Nessa’s blood freeze a moment as she knocked at the door. A quick moment after, Angelius opened it nervously.
“How bad is it?” asked Nessa to Angelius on a worried tone.
“Three times already, no use…I think we will have to cut it.”
“Do not lose hope, Angelius…Never.” said the woman who entered quickly. She looked at Blanche and shook her head softly.
“How bad is it now!?” asked the White Maiden her eyes closed. She could not bare to look at it, not now.
“I..not so bad, my friend, not…so…bad.” lied the red haired woman. She turned quickly toward Angelius and whispered “We will do this together, I cannot imagine myself alone now if we have to...”
Angelius nodded seriously and they both walked to Blanche.
“He will pay, I swear he will!” whispered Blanche looking now at the mirror.
“…What? I mean…you want to forgive to almost anyone, I mean anyone, but Byron and Arcane, no? Come on!”
“I..my hair, look at it! IT’S PINK! He will have to give me a big hot chocolate. And a cookie. Oh yes!” said Blanche with a strange determination in her voice.
“Alright alright, now please, dive a moment in the pool, only your hair of course…We will try again. And it’s not that bad, it’s…a soft pink.” said Nessa calmly. “Blood stain are horrible, you know that? I fear that if it doesn’t work, we will have to cut your hair. They won’t be that short anyway.”
Angelius and Nessa smiled at each other and started to clean for the fourth time Blanche’s hair.
“It’s funny, it makes me think about the time when you still had long flowing brown hair. It was good time.” said Nessa smiling.
“Yes…a time when we were not troubled too.” answered Blanche softly. “I…saw Count Valinor yesterday…he told me I…was not worthy to weild the Heart. Do you believe it? I…I should not have asked for him to give it back, I … do I seek power by doing so?”
“Blanche. There is more to this staff than its power. It was given to you by someone you consider like you spiritual mother, hell yes you wanted it back!” bursted Angelius. “You don’t want power, you..you are just too pure for that it’s so weird.”
“He is right, Blanche…If you wanted power, you would simply have crushed him and you would have taken the Heart yourself. You can’t think about that.” Answered Nessa softly.
They both look at each other in their eyes. Nessa and Blanche knew themselves since they were kids, always reading books of fairytale or epic stories. Nessa always been the dreamy girl, always writing or acting like a character in a story and Blanche always been the studious, pious and shy girl who spoke only when she had to. She never wanted to threaten those who might laughed at her condition, in fact she didn’t have to, it was Nessa’s and Arian’s job to do so. Of the three friends, Blanche always been the one who was behind her two friends by choice. Now that she had to stand firm in front of everyone who wanted to rally under her banner, she wasn’t sure about her own place. And Nessa knew that too well.
“Your place, you know where it is. It is not on the front line, not yet. You cannot fight…but you can bring us hope. Remember that there is no good without evil…nor love without hate, Blanche. It is mortal to hate, you know? You don't have to be afraid of it.”
Blanche looked at her a moment. “But I do not hate…I…just cannot, it’s a shame, no?”
“It is not a shame…love, love with all your heart, because we all hate too much.”
Angelius frowned a moment at the sudden change of conversation. They were washing her hair, not trying to do a leader of her, there’s a time for everything!
“Aïeuuuu! An…Angelius stop you are scrubbing too hard!!!” yelled Blanche laughing.
“Oh geez, sorry…hey, look Nessa, you won’t have to cut her hair, it’s almost gone!”
Nessa smiled at Angelius looking in his eyes and looked at Blanche proudly “We got it. One problem solved today, not bad!”
Blanche sat on her bench. She did not know what she would do, at least not completely, but she knew from this moment that she would do her best. She had the right to act, and she would seize it dearly. |

To accept yourself, you must interact with this earth. Find your balance, feel compassion for those who need it and keep good relations with others. Do not feel grief without any motive. You have the right to loved, and to be loved in return, seize it.
-Nessa Sairina, Marillawen, Handmaiden of the White Maiden of Midor
It was raining outside.
A dark night, without any moon and stars. A clouded, dark night. It was raining even in a little house in the noble district of Midor.
“Daddy it’s now or never, we don’t have much time!!!”
The young lady was arguing with her father as if no one else in the house was listening. Still, Ani, “Mademoiselle” Sairina’s handmaiden, was quietly looking at the two from the corner of the room.
“I said I won’t leave you alone do you understand that!?!?!”
No other paladins could say he has seen Lieutenant Markus Sairina, habitually a jovial looking man, so angry and worried. Except when his daughter’s sake was at stake. His deep blue eyes darted at his daughter one more time as he was litterally walking in circles in front of his precious Nessa.
“If you stay here, you will die by my side and I can’t take it, now do YOU understand that?”
Her voice was tired. Her whole body was tired. She didn’t have a good night sleep for weeks. Of every single being on this earth, he was one of the very few she would never let him die. Her eyes clouded, she clenched her fist looking at his father.
“I know it’s hard, but you don’t have any choice. I can’t loose you dad, I would not be able to carry on if…”
“How can you dare say that? If I leave you here alone, you will die! I can’t loose you, not you too! Your mother died for you I can’t …”
They both looked at each other tears falling. It was the first time they would get separated in 23 years and yet, they both knew there was no other solution. In times of war, who knows what happens? Maybe it was the first and the last time… The red haired woman took a deep breath.
“Dad. Go meet the others…your job here is done. We will meet again I promess but please…go.”
“How…They will hunt me Nessa”
“Shh…leave that to me. No one will see you.” whispered Nessa softly. On these words, her eyes became almost transparent and her voice more and more ethereal.
“Now…run! Both of you!” whispered the lady. They all rushed out of the house and then at the Plaza. The Rightous Swords were walking around, patroling as ever, their eyes sometimes looking at the three fugitives…yet without noticing them.
They rushed to the stables in the outskirts where a cloaked figure waited, patting a wonderful horse.
“Now, you both will head to where I already told you. Don’t look back.”
“Mademoiselle…” whispered the old maiden, her eyes full of fear.
“No! You go with him Ani, and that’s an order. Take care of each other…”
Her voice was broken. She memorized every detail of their face and looked down. She had to look strongand in control of herself. Markus took a deep breath, unable to speak, and he lead Amrún, his white stallion, outside. Ani was behind him, holding him tightly crying silently.
“Melda adar…Lasto beth nîn…daesell meleth adar...“
She closed her eyes tightly crying. She was alone…for the first time. The cloaked figure put a hand on her shoulder silently, his glowing eyes looking at her sadly.
“Nessa…I’ll go take care of them…now you go sleep. You need it.”
“Angelius…I can’t. I have to “
“No. You, go sleep. You look awful.”
She sighed. How can you resist to a seven feet and who knows how many pounds of pure tender and justice? She went outside to see her father and her friend now heading to Mirghul. They were safe, for now. She looked at Angelius another time and smiled. She had many things to do, but it was foolish to stay awake. She had to right to love, and be loved in return, and she would seize it. |
