Alton's punishment - Tarik's wrath Posted: 12 Dec 2004 04:01 PM |
Well, Alton attacked Tarik's worg (so did Arcane, i'll deal with him later) and Tarik promised him he'll face his wrath -
so, today Tarik struck him with a lightning - he fell asleep dreaming he's being eaten alive by all sorts of felines, when he woke up - he had a phobia for felines.
He plays it out well (running away from a house cat =p ), so have fun playing with this ;)
any feedback is welcome =p [also, he's a priest of Vilyave - if you want, give it a week, and then Vilyave could cure him ]

Moving to the public forums!
Another example of the little temporary consequences the DM team likes to parcel out.
I wonder if Alton's still afraid of cats? |

I only VAGUELY remember this ever happening.
I wonder if Alton was cured or that I simply forgot about this after a while.
Considering he was an air-headed cleric of Vilyave, a fear of cats seems quite apt.
But never was he afraid of cats as much as he was afraid of FOOOOOOLISH FOOOOOLS. |

Wisdom.
One tends to obtain it as one gets older.
There was one large party that went into the ...Witches home, the one with the Mountain(?) giants. The place near buckshire. Alton went along with them spouting words of wisdom such as "I don't think this is a good idea" while the party typically slaughtered their way in.
I jumped in and started managing the giants a little better, but they were still slaughtering their way in. I kept quiet as a DM, but tried to make it obvious that the behavior was not normal.
Finally just as they were fighting their way to the main bedroom, I had one of the giants break off and run away. Only Alton noticed and said anything about it.
So I ran the giant to the room, waited a moment, switched to the witch and buffed her. The party came in, got their first shots in, and then I unleashed hell (well, timestop, then three other spells, but that's close enough).
Only Alton got away. |

Hah.
That reminds me of a different adventure where Alton followed two other PCs, whose names I cannot remember, into the place where the Mind Flayers lived (I think they were called The Gathering?).
Alton stayed in Greater Sanctuary while the two others slaughtered their way through the lair, until they got to the final chamber where a DM had Death Drinker (the evil megasword) waiting under the Mind Flayer control to slaughter the interlopers. And slaughter them it did.
Except Alton, who revealed himself and struck a deal with the Mind Flayers in exchange for the bodies of the two FOOOOOOOOLS whom he later resurrected.
Actually, now that I think about it, Alton had a habit of out-living other PCs and resurrecting them after a TPK. |
