The Headless Halfling - Eerel's Head Hak Posted: 08 Oct 2004 07:52 PM |
Apologies for this over sight on my part, but I used the wrong hak when creating Eerel.
Anyone who spends any length of time with the annoying little bugger may want to downlaod the following hak pak to see his head. Its over 11mb, so again sorry for that.

Once downloaded extract all resources to the Override directory found in your NWN folder (not the hak folder like I did first!)

The DM team is using this hak for a CPC's head. But have had rumours its changed at least one PC's head?
Any chance anyone with a problem with the hak can say here so the techies can let us know what can be done about it.
As seems like a good hak, and would rather this CPC didnt appear headless to majority of PC's so be good if it could be downloaded by all.
And do the new voices work in Vives or need to stick with the old ones?
Cheers,
Sean |

Yeah, the CPC is headless without the headpak download, problem is if you do download it it changes at least three heads I've seen as it renumbers or moves some of those in the Pak that Vives was already using (including one of my chars - and it isn't one I'd have chosen). The solution as I recall is to renumber the heads which I believe is a slow and painful process.
If it helps, the heads in question I've seen changed are Jonny Cocteau's, Elrith's, and Lianneth's |

Sirac you can unlock all the voices and they will work in vives. Problem is .. I forgot how to and its been a reformat or two ago since I unlocked them. So I of course anxiously await the answer to that :p |

Just put the regular Vives head pack, and overwrite this one. The new heads will remain (along with Eerel's), and the Vives' heads will not be changed. Simpe :p |

Cool, thx.
Any idea from Gasher's post about how to unlock the voices. I already get a whole stack of choices on character creation...does that mean they are "unlocked",

There is a file you can download, very small, that can unlock all the voicesets from the toolset.
http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/other/data/1079213403000.shtml
It's a simple 2da file that you put in your override folder, enabling /all/ voices. It should be able to work fine in game once you pick the one you want through the character creation process.

Have you tried what WA just suggested then to sort the problem?

*BUMP!!!* Perhaps this one ought to be added to our list of items to be used, as most of us are in fact using them to my knowledge. |
