New Vid card Posted: 17 Sep 2004 01:13 AM |
I just recently bought a new video card which was DDS capable. I went from NWN no -frills, with everything turned off, to everything turned on..and its awesome. One problem though, for the first week or so it ran great, but now I'm getting occasional lock ups. My old video card was built-into the mother board, so Im wondering if there is a conflict? Sorry if this is the wrong place to ask.

If your computer goes from working properly, to locking up, the first question you have to ask yourself is what has changed during that period?
Did you update any drivers? Add any service patches? Connect your computer directly to the internet without using a firewall? Did you install any new software?
Sometimes a seemingly unrelated change to your system can have unforseen side effects.

| thanks for the reply. The only change was the new video card, and it was a neccesary improvement as I couldnt "see" any of the new graphics that require DDS. |
