Army of the Shinning Hearts Posted: 29 Aug 2004 11:39 AM |
I was wondering if anyone wanted to form an ingame small army of light or good to fight off the darkness. As a group, we could roleplay the dark shadows overcasting all of Vives, and the need for all those of good heart to unite.
We would need about three leaders. One war leader, a spiritual leader , and a songmaster or beautiful lady.
I would like to volunteer Aloria as the Quarter master responsible to making sure the army is equiped.
This could lead into multiple events but should start in game with a handful of characters who meet and agree to form this army in secret.
Then branch out to other characters in game. We could host multpile in game events... first a few meatings.. then more public meatings...
Aloria could host a pc event of meating recruits in Midor Unicorn Inn to equip characters.
Someone would need to develop the history of the army, some kind of precedent, and obtain support from NPC in game like the highpriestess of Ferien and the Bishop of Midor. Convince them of the need for this army and the need for support.
Anways, all these details should be worked out in Buckshire sometime in the tavern if people are interested.
What are your thoughts?

Later with permission of the DMs, after things are organized and set up, we could then PM all the members of this forum announcing the new events as news and the battles to come.

Player Guilds Posted: 29 Aug 2004 12:18 PM |
hmm...
bit of a surprise here.
Althought it has not been stated formally in the past, it has been discussed to death by the admins and dm's in the past that as a group, we don't like player guilds.
One of the concerns of the player guilds is that there is a feeling of "us vs them" with players being excluded or that the guilds deserve special attention from the dm's and admins
We, the admins and DM's want to give attention to all players, not just a special group. While there is nothing wrong with a group of players calling themselves a special group name, for reasons of fairness to others, we do not feel that we can give special attention or privledges to people of said group
We really feel that there should only one group, and that is the group of "Vives" players and as such we strongly suggest and encourage everyone to interact and meet with everyone else. Anything that potentially creates artificial divides amongst the players concerns us.
Lambert, I would appreciate it if you could come into IRC and discuss your ideas with us so we can work on something that works for all players.

Hey no problem,
Actually this is not a guild. It is something that would take place only in game. Its purpose is to fight the demons. And once its purpose is complete it no longer exists.
This is something only organized and done in game, does not involve any forum activity, and is meant only to bring in other characters into the demon plot or to potentially make it a bigger plot involving more people.
It is kind of like all hereos banding together to fight the demon threat threatening all of Vives. If the admins and DMs are still against this idea, I will drop it.
If the demon plot could not support this kind of approach that is completely fine with me. That is why I through this idea into the mix here.
Thanks for the feedback!
