Custom Portraits Posted: 12 Jun 2004 12:28 AM |
Hi.
I'd like to start this thread to get everyone's custom portraits, so.....
If you use a custom portrait, could you please post a link to it in this thread, so that we might download it and add it to our respective portraits folders?
Thanks! |

There are several portraits posted on this link here.
But this is a better thread to consolidate them. Thanks Narenia. |

I'd also like to note that Naruth uses the same portrait as Nessa Marilacantspellit Sarina.
This is not my work, and it's hosted on my webspace because I have no idea where I got it from in the first place. ;)

Thank you to all who have graciously provided their portraits....might we now get instructions about how to use them. OH yeah, dont forget the pictures with the circles and arrows that tell us of limited experience how to use them....
Thanks,

Re: Custom Portraits Posted: 12 Jun 2004 07:31 AM |
When you download the .zip or .rar file, there will be 5 pictures in it. They'll all be in the format filenameh.tga. They'll be called filenameh.tga, filenamel.tga, filenamem.tga, filenames.tga, filenamet.tga. You need to put all 5 of them in the "Portraits" folder in your neverwinter nights directory. Make sure you extract them from the .zip/.rar archive first, however.

And if you dont have winrar, you can get it here.
It kicks a$ over winzip as it will not only open .rar files, but .zip and .ace and many others as well. It also does a much better job at spanning, or making things smaller. |

For the life of me I don't know why people use .zip.

edited to, once again, point out how winrar handles zips, but rar compresses much better |

Part of the reason is that Phil Katz, the author of the original command line PKZip, is an unsung hero that passed on in relative obscurity several years ago - and there are some that wish to keep the faith. *looks off, into the distance, smiling as he recalls a simpler age, an age without war or .rar or any of that other newfangled crap.*

Re: Custom Portraits Posted: 07 Jul 2004 09:50 PM |
The two characters I have with custom portraits.
Masou Chanha'teh - one of my newest incarnations http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/portraits/data/1066407760531.shtml
Coruva Lorehammer This one I found as a picture. I spoke to the artist and he was nice enough to agree to let me use it here and here alone as long as I give him proper credit for the great work.
His name is Cecil Edward Hughes the 2nd Weblink at http://elfwood.lysator.liu.se/loth/c/e/cecil/cecil.html Email: c_hughz@earthlink.net
I have converted it into an nwn portrait, but I don't have a decent website to host it. If you want it, just pm me with your email address or contact me in IRC and I will send you the files. |

Re: Custom Portraits Posted: 19 Jul 2004 01:51 AM |
Well, seeing as how I believe most of the female half orc portraits that either come with nwn or are custom portraits plain suck, I made my own. Need ta get around to bundling it up, but as soon as I do, i'll post a link :)
EDIT: found some hosting for it, but cuz its geocities, not entirely sure how reliable its gonna be.

Anyone wanting Calmeir's new picture (quite amazing I must say) go here and get it! Then rename it po_hu_m_10 to replace the old stock photo.
