Owners of Rental chests: Read!

We need to do some repairs on the rental chest system. To do this, we will be removing all of the rental chests that exist currently and replacing them all with fixed versions.

Please remove all of your items by Midnight Friday, 3/19, or they will be lost.

DMs will not replace items lost as a result of not clearing chests. It is your responsiblity to clear your chests.

I am wondering if the deadline for chest clearance could be postponed a day or two. I am currently traveling and will be unable to get in-game or to my chest until Saturday, 3/20. If the deadline is immovable, I would ask whether a DM could help me in some way to ensure I don't lose everything I've worked so hard to acquire. Maybe someone could PM me if this will be complicated. Thanks for your attention to this matter.

There will be no need for removing your items from your chest. I've modified the code on the rental chests so that there is now the same limit as the chests in persistant houses.

No one should be missing any items (I just went through and checked all the chests, they seem ok to me) but anyone with more than twenty items will be unable to add anything to their chests untill they get below that limit. There are still several debug lines in that I will leave in until I'm sure things are smooth.

I've also changed the way chests figure out which database entry to pull up, the GetNearest command that was being used didn't always get the nearest item. If your chest does not have your stuff in it, close the chest, and let a DM know. We'll get you sorted as soon as we can.

Ah crap.

I was hoping that when you did the upgrade, all the items I no longer need would have disappeared into the void where they belong.

Now I will have to empty out my chest the hard way and take everything into the trash.

Ah, on this chest thing.

I emptied my chest and carried around everything I own and now cannot put anything back in my chest.

The stuff I did not care enough to save is still in there IN th echest, but anything I try to put back INTO the chest simply reappears in my inventory.

Callia's room is third on the left upstairs, Unicorn Inn.

Help please.

Get rid of some stuff. The chests now have item limits, and you won't be able to put anything in it until you're under the limit.

He means get rid of the stuff in your chest that you don' t need. Then put in the items you wish to store. ;)

Other people have reported this bug to me as well. Well, one other to be exact.

Perhaps this is the same as the one I have in my persistant chest: I used to be able to store 15 items. Then 3 got eaten and now the max is 12. I tried leaving it empty over reset, but it stays at 12.

I half way made a tool to fix this eventuallity with the rental containers, but the current version is incompatible with some late changes I made with the rental containers. I'll get the tool up to speed when I next have the mod to work on and reset the two containers I found that were bugged with this.

Pheonix, I did make a tool to reset the persistant housing containers that DM's can use. Just grab a Dm that has a few minutes and get them to use the "Reset Housing Container" Widget under Custom Plot to reset your chest. You'll need to empty your chest though before they use it though as it just resets to 0.

The two rental chests I found with incorrect counts on them have been fixed.
