I got a nice suit of Iron Plate and an Iron Scythe off of him for 38000gp total. Both were pretty nice. The items are well worth the money when you are at mid-levels.

ooc you should.... no offense, but your prices are ridiculously low... considering the way the economy is.. I think you should raise them....

I don't want to be the guy with the high prices or anything... but I think it would be a lot better for the world if the server wasn't granted premium crafted items of masterwork quality for almost free....

I was extremely pleased with Daimon's work on a suit of Full Silver Plate. I had ascked him to make it for me the day previous, and it was completely out of Silver. He agreed to make it, and the next day had it ready for me. He customized it exactly to my liking, and then also customized my two favorite weapons for me to make them look more formidable.

I was honestly very pleased with the work. It was very well made and done so quickly that I was able to take it out on my adventures soon after ordering it.

I payed about 20,000 Thousand Gold for the Whole thing. I did help to provide the materials, so I got a discount.

Gratefully,

Take it from an old man who knows quality armour. Daimon fashioned a suit of iron full plate for me and gave me a very reasonable price! The plate has served me well, and I'm sure it will for a long time. - Thomas Alyomen.

Having learned much from the recent week of customers, Rabianara Metalworks is pleased to announce the production of other newly designed weapons, Such as Kamas, Hammers, Scythes, Flails, Morning Stars, and maces.

Daimon has also had progress with resource acquisisition, The bladesmith's array of alloys now spans several new materials, such as Silver, Gold, Platinum, Cobalt, and even very special orders of Adamantium. Please note that not all resources are available to simple gold coin prices, and negotiation is always encouraged.

With the current loots from monsters, I wonder how you expect people to get those amounts of money? You can find really good items and though the merchants wont give you much for them... If the economy keeps like this, and the persistent merchants dont return, I dont see how people will get those amounts of gold...
Greenwhisker for example asks 80k gold for a adamantium sword, if this is a low price well I wonder what you think is a fair price then....

Balthor Responds. Well, keep in mind, the acquisition of Adamantium ain't exactly safe, not ta mention the amount needed ta fashion a single ingot, assumin' ya make an ingot! And even after smeltin' enough ingots t'fashion a sword out of, the odds are against ya ta make one, makin' ya waste even more ingots! We went through, oh, I'd say, 150 nuggets or so in the past few days and made enough fer just three'r four weapons! Not ta mention we bit the dust collectin' the necessary material! It's an arduous, tirin', perilous process! An' the abilities o'Adamantium ain't s'bad, trust me.

I craft bows and trust me its hard work aswell, I at the moment can make the best bow of the lands, only me and Neek can do them and check around, what bows people use?
Course it is not an easy thing to do, though it can bring RP if you join a party to get the ores, if you ask help to friends. Though if your only objective is to swim in gold that you dont even have a something to spent it with... Course every master crafter asks what they want for the goods, and specialy if your the only one in the lands....

((ooc ok its ooc time.....))

The Ecomony of Vives right now is terrible.... Most of the vendors are only used for gold acquisition, and everytime the server boots up, everyone makes their rounds and pawns off their goods, and usually doesn't even sell them all before the Vendor is Broke. There are a few things people spend their money on, AKA Asashi goods or scrolls, or healing kits, antidotes, and maybe barkskins, but other than that.... the economy is dead.

Now, No offense to greenwhisker(this is still OOC) but I can massproduce Iron goods and flood the market with them for 1,000 gold a piece, but if I don't give something for people like... Janna up there, with her 50k to spend at level 5, to spend their money on, the value of actual gold becomes worthless, and we get inflation. I'm trying to stop that from happening.

What does he do with all that money you say? Well I sure as heck don't BUY kewl l33t stuff with it....I burn it... in a sense....
I have little use for massive amounts of gold, and I don't like losing it all when I die anyawys, So I spend it on the HOTU craft altering skills. The more powerful the item, the Gold it eats to make every piece look different. Since I try to alter EVERY product I make, so that there are no duplicates, and every product is unique (Unless I'm making a set, or if its exotic and I can't wield it.), this is a lot of changing.... and a lot of gold to change it with. Janna's Iron Plate up there (The first post besides mine) actually cost me not only the materials to make it with.... and my time... but around 20,000 gold to alter the looks. Later I used the rest of the 18,000 to alter the looks of some other wares and some orders of people that didn't have the 50k to spend Janna Did..... I assure you though, I'm not "Swimming" in gold..... Lambert's stuff was a pretty big burn of almost 40k..... And I'm glad to have helped.... What am I going to do with the money? by healingkits +10 for life or something?

Since I'v joined Vives, I've made a lot of money... probably... thousands of thousands (Which is millions for all you math people) Which I think it ridiculous. But I have never walked around with more than 60 or so thousand gold on my person..... (And no, I never put any Money in my chest, and I get yelled at for it, because people wish I did)

I don't like charging this much.... and I REALLY don't like varrying my charges from customer to customer, but until a few things around here change, I don't really have a choice, if I want to be fair. Once you become a merchant, you realize that the important part of business isn't necessarily getting money... but making people have less money... it sounds evil... but if it doesn't happen, everything goes wrong....
Something has got to be done about this Loot system.... I find +3 items lying around in crates just outside of town.... Thats Swords, Amulets, , shields.... it needs to stop....

((Back IC))

Daimon had a new record sales day of 9 customers yesterday. And although not all of his Customers could afford the prices, many customers helped pay their way in different methods: some including: Carrying the ore for their products from the mine, Exchanging old equipment for new equipment, and trading magical goods of their own (IE, Arrows, scrolls) to pay there way.

Daimon Rabianara appreciates the support of his Customers.... here at Rabianara Metalworks, we realize you have a choice in arms dealers, and are pleased to have been able to satisfy your weaponry needs.

OOC: I want to know where people are getting all this money! Mykal's never had more then 5,000 gold pieces ever, and most of his money goes towards travel and healing packs. Maybe he's in the wrong business...

Mykal your not the only one, I only get money from the craft and selling it to merchants, I hardly had more then 20k with me, I also wished to know where people get these millions of gold everyone speaks of. I can play for hours and in the end I have probably nothing worth more then 1k. Wich barely pays the healing kits I used. So maybe yes Mykal maybe we are on the wrong business

OOC
guess the 'big money' comes from drops and player trades..
[e.g. if you got a rez scroll it probably worth more than 10k gold.. maybe more than 100k for some folks.. ]

Oh well, being holy shouldn't be a big money maker anyways...that is unless I decide start collecting donations to the church. I can see it now:

(( .... OOC .... )) one last time as a response to Veran

I know how you feel but this is a new thing to the server. Back when I started my business having more than 50,000gp was extremely rare and almost unheard of. Back then Merchant used to be persistant that mean they didn't have a refill of gold at each reset. And I believe this as been the downfall of the economy, If the merchant had stayed persistent they would still have good thing to selll and in addition they wouldn't be pooring out millions of Gold to people who abuse this non-persistancy of merchant.

--This ends The OOC part of this IC thread, I will start a thread to discuss this in greater detail--
