Sinjin's Wanderings
Posted: 04 Mar 2004 12:08 AM
*a crow lands on your shoulder*

CAW! CAW!

*attached to the leg is a note*

Sinjin must go meditate today on the meaning of slugishness. He will not be back until tomorrow. Many regrets. Perhaps the group could meet up again then?

OOC: many thanks to Macha, Cybella, Bron, Kree, Kayel, Mykal and Mho for trying tonight - sorry the crashing(s) and lag has done us in. Going to bed.

Humbly Submitted,

Sinjin Kane

*Scratches under the bird's chin, removes the note. After reading it thoughtfully and agreeing, feeds the bird some corn from a small pouch and releases it*

Aye, something in the world was confusing me, making me wander back and forth repeatedly over the same paths in circles like a drunkard. I too am giving up to rest.

Hopefully I shall see you all tomorrow.

Yours in the Refreshing Rains of Elbereth,

Cybella deRhiannon

*sighs* yes, it was a terribly rainy night, enough to lend to Macha's melancholy. She must try harder tomorrow...

*Mykal crumbles the note and allows the wind to carry it away. He looks into the west, across the sea, before starting back towards Midor*

"I shall be there, Sinjin," he says to himself, "whenever you require me. Even with the pain I must face every time I see you."

*He turns and walks away. The note, made black against the setting sun, still hangs in the wind where he stood.*

Most men lead lives of quiet desperation and go to the grave with the song still in them.

The following night:

Sinjin watched with a touch of sadness and much admiration as Mykal strode out of the Unicorn. They had fought side by side against the children of syn, with the steadfast demeanor and spells of Cybella and the inspiriation of Macha to see them through. The monk reviewed their parting words in his mind. He had grasped Mykal's arm firmly in the warriors embrace, and wished him well. Hopefully he would return soon to them *glancing over at Macha* despite the pain he suffered from that exposure.

Although Sinjin sensed their task was not completed on the Isle of Maldovia, he had neglected his research into various plants and herbs and other ingrediants of alchemy for too long. Perhaps it was at last time to mount an expidition across the vast desert down into the canyons to the jungle canopy. Sinjin scrached his head breifly, then rubbed his temple and eyes. It had been a long day. He went through the teachings of Asashi in his mind and began his slow meditation to blissful sleep that would rejuvinate his mind, body and soul for the work ahead.

Taking a determined step towards the posted parchment, the common man studiously enscribes his mark - a bold -A. encircled.

To himself softly, with satisfaction, he says, "And so, it begins," and strides off silently into the shadows.

-A.

Sinjin reads the bold A and smiles. Good. Brother Aren, his wise and witty remarks will keep us warm in our travels.

Sinjin intends to depart on Friday or Saturday when the stars are in the sky and our soft footfalls from Midor will be marked only but the wet imprints in the dew on the plains.

A message is written in Balthor's markedly runic-like common.

Where are we goin'?

Master Balthor!

Well, betwee your reconniasance and Sinjins, we should be able to lead a party to the newly discovered lands across the sea of ice. It should be great fun for all (provided we wear long underwear. OOC)
