New Player Questions - Help For Biography

Hey all, I've been researching your server and it looks great, just from what I've read on the forums and the players handbook. I can't wait to jump in game, but wanted to ask a few questions to help craft a coherent biography.
For starters, I plan on playing a lawful neutral human cleric. I've read through the PHB but couldn't really find something that fit my race and alignment. Any suggestions on this?
Also, any suggestions on a home-town? I don't want to do something dumb like write down a town and have it turn out that it's a gnome city or whatever =)
