Kango Vlad
Kango was brought up on the outskirts of the city known as Midor. His parents were comfortable, Running a successful trading business through Midors marketplace selling fresh fruit and vegetables.
Kango admired his parents and had great respect for them. They had brought him up without the racist nature of many. He looked on everyone and thing equally and believed only through actions can you prove true worth.
His father thought him to help others whenever possible, though to always keep his family at the top of the list.
As a teenager witness to the busy nature of Midor Kango had learned a lot. He watched and admired the city guards. They seemed to keep order inside the city by there very presence.
Found Guilty by Midor
Romal Vlad and his wife Faleon strolled through Midor on the way to their fruit stall, happily chatting about the day ahead. Hoping it would be a good day for coin.
A young boy ran out from one of the alleyways tripping over Faleons foot before crashing to the ground. Romal set down the goods he carried and knelt down next to the boy. Helping him to his feet and dusting him off.
“You should take more care lad,” said Romal as he rose to his feet. The boy ran off again through the crowd as the raspy voice came from the dark alleyway.
“It is you who should be more careful,” said the ragged looking man in the shadows.
Romals heart sank as he saw the rusty blade held to Faleons throat. The robber had Romals goods in one hand and his love in the other.
“Let her go and take what you want!” he shouted.
“Oh I will, I will,” he sneered backing into the alleyway with Faleon.
In a rage Romal threw himself after them.

The Midor guards moved as quickly as possible through the crowds toward the shouts coming from the shadows. Kango followed them, excitedly hoping to see them catch some law breaker. As the three guards broke through the crowd one held out a hand and caught Kangos shirt holding him away from any danger and warning the rest of the onlookers to stay back. The other two guards advanced toward the alleyway. The noise had stopped.
Then Kango heard his mothers voice “No hes done nothing wrong...” she pleaded.
The two guards marched Kangos father from the darkness. The guard who had held the crowd back was ordered to get in the alleyway and clean up the mess.
Kangos head spun as his mother spotted him, weeping she took him in her arms.
The crowds disappeared and Kango looked upon his hero's with fresh eyes.
His mother never told him all that had happened. All he really knew was that his father should not have been locked up.
Kango never again saw his father. He heard numerous stories about the murder in the alleyway and the brave guards who had once again saved the city from such thugs. Those fools. Kango knew the truth in his heart, the only protector that day had been his father. |
