Not sure how accurate though, but basically says this:
The following laptop/notebook video cards are not currently supported by Neverwinter Nights 2 but may be added at a later time:
ATI Mobility Radeon x300
ATI Mobility Radeon x1300
However, all of this aside, here are some laptop/notebook video chipsets that should work with titles requiring a 128MB Hardware T&L video card or higher:
ATI Mobility Radeon 9600
ATI Mobility Radeon 9700
ATI Mobility Radeon 9800
ATI Mobility Radeon x600
ATI Mobility Radeon x700
ATI Mobility Radeon x800
ATI Mobility Radeon x1400
ATI Mobility Radeon x1600
ATI Mobility Radeon x1800
Seems like I was wrong (a common thing, just ask Lisen :P) ..... However, I'm not sure how accurate this is.
atari do seem, however, to confirm that NWN2 runs on the ATI Radeon X700, which is still one of your options :D

Both cards you mention are mentioned as supported! Before you buy it might be worth giving Atari a ring or e-mail as to which they would recommend...... They -should- know whether they work with NWN2 ;)
another option would be to post both specs on the Bioware NWN2 forums, and ask other people if they've had any experience using those systems/cards with NWN2 :) |

| Yippy!! I have come to brag about my brand spanking new Geforce 7600 GT TGH. Its not yet as fluid playing as I would like but I will be able to play in Vives 2 for sure. |

| Oh yeah... in case someone wants to know, I did get a laptop that runs NWN2, pretty smoothly even, after turning off the eye-candy. It has 1,73 ghz Intel Centrino Duo processor, 1024 mb ram, and ati x1400 graphic card. However, it doesn't do the job it was intended for, which is quite amazing, and so I think I'll have to get rid of it. There's a good chance that I won't be able to find a laptop in my price range that will work with both NWN2 and the software I need, but who knows, maybe I'll get lucky. (Yeah, right) |
