What about isthmuses? Will there be isthmuses?
Of course. The Isthmus of Quidaine is a bit on the chilly side though.
If we'll be deprived of tiger bikinied temptresses, let's hope there will at least be isthmuses.
Hey, now. I believe I said leopard-skin bikinis. I never denied the existence of barbarian women in tiger-skin bikinis. |

So, are there going to be "normal" versions of these races.
Lets pick a random race, say, I don't know, Gnomes. You only have two types of gnomes there. Lets say I wanted to make a gnome who believed in the Gnomish Mathematics religion. Neither of those two types of gnomes actually fit in with those beliefs. So, this makes me believe there is a "normal" type of gnomes. |

| Yes. As you have surmised, there are even more options than we have listed. That was after all just a teaser. Nothing here is exhaustive. We have even MORE in store. More subraces. More nationalities. More mysteryeeeeeee. |

| Will there still be scope for playing gnomes as childish illusionists/pranksters as described in the D&D books? I get enough of being a mathematician anyway. |

| I doubt Vives will ever limit us into what character we could play. It's just the background of characters we could play, not the character itself - just 'cos a human might be from Midor doesn't mean he's an elf-hating sunuva@#$@#. |

There is a "norm" so PCs know what a "typical" Gnome, Elf, Dwarf etc is like, but also plenty of scope to go outside the norm and do whatever you like. Every race can be whatever it wants to be. Dwarves can wield bows and hug trees, Gnomes can be zealous paladins, Elves can be streetwise pickpockets. The norm is only there so you're aware that you'll be treated as odd and unique (and also so that you know to treat other odd PCs as being odd). In fact, you could even end up being the first <Class> <Race> combination of your kind, which is pretty exciting.
And anyway, odd and unique is fun. Normality is for NPCs! PCs are there to think outside the box and do daring things and be extraordinary, not ordinary! |

| For some reason April 1st seems appropriate... My own activity within the game will be interesting to see, because I am extremely time-limited these days. |
