Just to add a minor aside, shortages in goods (i.e. merchants shutting down etc) is in some cases intentional and very likely to get worse.

*Looks at bug report list* Drat, I think some of those are the broken ones... there should still be about 2 that have them in the north though, unless things have changed very drastically.

While your at it, how about a male version of the desert scout armor, there's only a female version, that's just plain sexist!

Somebody took pity on me and told me where the kits are. They are available in a certain outpost of trade, if you will. Naturally, the seller's business has nothing to do with sewing, but the kit is there. I probably gravitated to the three seamstresses in the area and missed him. Oh well.

The righteous sword who attacked me on the plains for killing a badger. Ouch. Don't they have better things to do?

I think badgers are Defender faction... you really shouldn't attack anything that's neutral or friendly to you because Bioware factions are a nightmare. *Shudders* Only attack something if it's already hostile to you to begin with.

Bioware factions are awful.

Yeah, but without attacking badgers you can't get badger leather. Same with deer.

As Rosen pointed out to me after, one has to be careful. Those badgers are -Midoran- badgers. One can say a lot of unflattering things about the God and his followers, but they do go to great lengths to protect their own. I shall be careful about killing a chicken in Paws to feed the starving (assuming they're alive) family. I presume said chickens are also on the protected species list.

In all honesty, it's fair to say that I should have known better. I've had Jusin attack me for launching an uprovoked assault on a deer before. He's just not quite as devastating a foe. Though his skin seems to be as thick as an adamantium golem's armour, he's as blind as a bat and can't seem to hit anything. It's his ox you have to watch out for. Smiley

What's even better is when the horses on the Great Plains attack you for killing a deer....Not that I would know....

You should be able to get away with it as long as there is nobody nearby when you do the killing.

Whenever I go "hunting" for things, if there is an NPC, or another animal (that I don't want to kill) nearby the one I DO want to kill, it's time to move on and find a different one. Because it seems that ANYONE in the vicinity will take it personally and try to exact vengeance upon you in the name of that poor little defenseless badger. (or deer, or bird, or whatever it is you are trying to kill)
