Friends
Many will be aware of the problems which have beset our realm in months past, and of the strange occurrences which have begun to manifest themselves of late.
In an effort to ascertain the possible cause of both, and having made all possible preparations to protect the people of Ferein, the gates to what was once the Inner City will be unsealed in TWO days time and an exploratory expedition mounted.
All those affected or wishing to assist should present themselves at Ferein Temple Gardens at the time shown below.

pdw's advice aside (which isn't wildly far from the mark), best advice I can give is just go with the flow, take your time, rushing things just leads to disaster, give yourself and others time to react and type, and most importantly..... ENJOY!
(No 1 Tip - Don't die, No 2 Tip if you've never taken part in a DM event before, if you DO die, don't get trigger happy with the respawn button, lie back and wait) |

| Next time, maybe limit the number of participants? So far, this has been just painful, not fun. Maybe it'll pick up (I'm writing this after a crash in the first cave in Inner Ferein). |

It got much better--don't know how that stuff works--lag is a mystery to me.
Thank goodness though, it did get much better. The lasts three hours were very smooth. |

All valid points, and ones which have been made before. Believe me it spoils things as much for us as it does the players but nevertheless I hope that those that did manage to take part enjoyed it.
As for the point about splitting and running events at varios times, yes - it's possible. Not ideal certainly since those who have 'already done the job' may be prone to speak of it with those who haven't, but it's something I will try to bear in mind.
Accordingly, for those who didn't/couldn't take part yesterday the gates will open once more today, Sunday 15th Jan at 6pm GMT/ 1pm EST. I stress that this is for those who either didn't or couldn't take part up until last night's finish point. Any who tried and gave up for various reasons are welcome, as are any who couldn't attend yesterday's scheduling.
Obviously this creates some OOC issues since some will know what happened, I'll ask those to be understanding and speak of it as little as possible. Thanks |

| Thank you for an amazing 5 hours, I'm glad I was able to see it to the end (although I am paying for it waking up less than 4 hours after falling asleep!) The players were smashing, the DM patient and excellent. I have to admire those who can keep the plot even after so much has been said by so many different characters. Although lag was very much evident for me, all in all, I have been in worse, and the DM dealt with the lag issue really well. The actual 'setting' was all that it should have been, thanks for all the hard work! |

I posted some pictures from last night on photobucket here for them what's interested. It was quite a ride.
There's some other stuff in there too from recent times, in other folders. Haven't figured out how to get them in chronological order, so they jump all over the place. |

Hi!
That was my first Dm event ever!! I can't really say how much I enjoyed it
all that lag and crashes at the begining gave me a bad feeling but everything seemed to get better on the run. I usually run solo (like 90% of the time) and for the first time I met all those PC's I read so much about on these forums!
The DM was great and handled everything fine
I also took a few screen shots but don't know how to post them :(
from now on I will be looking forward to joining ALL events I can
thank you and a big shout out to everyone who was there :D |
