| is there a way to pin a post of quests no longer active? i wasted alot of time trying to find that peeping tom, all for naught i was told. im sure its in the forums somewhere but i think it should be pinned. ( and if my character gets hit with the xp stick for no reason thanks )((hint, hint)) |

Re: Dead sidequests Posted: 06 Sep 2005 07:42 PM |
Unfinished quests are unfortunate, but a part of the development of the world.
We will not post a thread discussing any IC quests on the forums, especially not a list of "Sidequests can be found here, here, and here..."
That's all the be found by individual PCs, IC, as they explore the world. In an ideal world, anyway.
However, do feel free to PM [All DMs] with the location of a sidequest which isn't finished. It may be useful, since some are quite old and might not be on anyone's "To do list". They're unlikely to be high priorities, that said...

I think what he means is:
Unfinished Quests: Peeping Tom etc.
Not: Peaping Tom (In place A after talking to person B and getting Item C)
It is very fustrating wandering around for hours trying to find things that are not there. |

The main ones that I recall are :
Peeping Tom Mayor Darby Pistachio Nuts Jenna's necklace Lara's baby
Then there are a couple that are not really started but NPCs say "come back later" and there is no IG quest "later" : Pirate island captain Archaeologist dig |

Re: Dead sidequests Posted: 08 Sep 2005 05:16 AM |
Hmmm... maybe removed, maybe have the consequences changed a bit. I don't want to give the quest away or anything; however, if someone were to fulfill the quest, they should never, never be allowed in Midor ever again, and probably be hunted down by the Hand no matter where they go. And if they die anywhere near Midor (in the areas where the Infirmary picks them up), they cannot be rescued - or rescued only to be imprisoned and executed.
At least, perhaps, a DM should be required to be on, so that what happens in the aftermath gets recorded and the consequences handed out. I mean, what happens if a DM logs on and half the city of Midor is lying dead in the street? |

Re: Dead sidequests Posted: 08 Sep 2005 06:20 AM |
Well, I have only done it once and never bothered again, so perhaps I don´t remember something...but it all happens inside, first of all. Considering the amount of guards the red guys might not bother that much about what happens inside of the residence aswell. If a DM is on while someone does the quest there might be other consequences. I mean, if you do the quest...sneak...and make sure there is noone left to tell anyone outside the residence...where´s the problem? |

I'll be rather vague here, as I don't want to give away anything...
But can the hound quest be finished? I've searched high and low in that area and can't find a t(r)ail. ;) |

Icy Vale's captain of the militia also seems to be missing (the sergeant seems to indicate that there might be something you want to talk him about ;)
Any update on the others now? We're way beyond the versions that were posted, but so far most of them seem to still be unfinished. :P |
