I still think that the last PnP session we had was rather amusing..
kalniel decided to play a gnomish paladin who had a set of full plate. Only he never actually got to put it on because putting it on took too long. So in the end, the day was saved by a gnome in underpants. ;) |

And one thing that hasn't been mentioned yet is neutral .
If you make things too much about Good vs Evil, then you miss out on all the great stuff that Neutrals can be doing and are doing.
I do think that balance is good. I don't think that it should always be "the DMs vs the players" or "the world vs the PCs". Sometimes it's very encouraging, as a player, to have an ... |

magical circle against alignment: that is a nwn engine implementation bug and there is nothing that I can do to fix it.
Shame, as that spell would have been one of the most widely used IG.

Actually, I have a feeling they fixed it in the last patch..? Certainly seems to work on other PWs, though I haven't seen it used on Vives.
In any case, even if not fixed, it stays active if you walk, it just couldn't keep up ... |

Currently, if you move *slowly* they will continue to work, usually.
*nods* If you walk, they work - though I did think Bioware fixed this in a patch. Maybe they borked it again. |

The minimum CPU speed, and recommended CPU speed for NWN2 is 2 and 3 GHz respectively... but it seems that half of the CPU's out there these days are named with some number that hasn't a #@$% thing to do with it's clock speed.
And looking at Intel's website doesn't help a bit either... they have that Core2 Duo, and talk about benchmark tests against their old P4 with HT, the Core2 performs almost twice as ...well, I'd say fast, but since this is not based on ... |

Agreed Ara and hello. But the toolset does use dual core processing power I'm pretty sure, so if you want to build in NWN2 a dual core will help. And yes I like to run stuff in the background :D . |

Pretty comprehensively demonstrates that the slowest Core2Duo is in most cases as fast and in some cases faster than the most expensive AMD dual core.

*shrugs* My personal experience is that comparably priced Intel & AMD dual cores are not comparable in terms of power. My OH has an X2 3800+, I have a Core2Duo E6300. Both pretty comparably priced (the former is currently about £20 cheaper). The Intel chip does things a *lot* faster than the former in everything we have tested (with exactly the same graphics card and same amount of RAM).

It's all relative....I run it on technically a 1.86Ghz speed CPU, but it's a very efficient CPU so while it's technically slower, it does more in that time than a 2.8Ghz Pentium 4.
So depends on what your CPU ... |

Things like the missing mayor of Buckshire (to complete deidre pink's quest);

My point being, this patch has some MAJOR problems and I've only looked at a small part of it so far.
