1.Re: Fall into Darkness
Posted by Wicked_Keen on 3/17/2007 4:33:06 PM
Well, no one else was doing it. Everyone just expected the world to bow and snap and then some gentle figure to pick up the pieces and mend it back together again. Syluné had never seen a god or other divine figures pamper their subjects like everyone seemed to think they would. She had only seen them angered and wrathful, damming their followers for ill deeds (Only one god proved to a different view from that.) So, perhaps she would have to prove herself to the gods in one way or another. ...

Hehehe, first time posting here, soooooo. . .

I just wanted to give an all around Shoutout to all of Vives, DM's and Players alike! --I absolutely love playing here so thanks for that!

And, since we're on the topic of shoutouts, Emma has nothing on the -brilliant- Sylune when it comes to manipulation and just plain smart planning.

Kudos to Tokiko, Sylune, and Bel for not shunning my crazy monk for the times she brings them to near-certain death. Thanks to Shard and Tristian for all the great RP today, and to the Butcher for instigating a large part of it.

That was a fun little event all around, ^_^ I'll just call ...

Hahahahaha.... *ahem* Yeah. . .Guess Syluné /is/ rather quick with that invisibility... I'm not sure if that's a good thing, or a bad thing, but meh! Heh--and wands of fear are Syluné's best friend. ^_^

I'll agree though! Thanks to the DM for that little event and also thanks to Renter6 and Snooty for the great RP; was awesome!

She mused with herself over the concept of what fires true nature was. She couldn't help but place the text on the page. She was tired of the image that such women displayed, so she figured this was much more suiting to those flame worshiping vipers.

~Nothing Beautiful: Part 1~

Fire like passion that burns to the core,
her flicks of flame shall lie to us no more.
its true intent is not an intense lust,
but something ...

And thus it continued, as she couldn't very well leave it as it were!

~Nothing Beautiful: Part 2~

We’ve covered the rage and greed of fire,
So now the tale told shall be less dire.
We change to a topic of Ice and Snow,
Yet no annoyance in my words will show!

Let it be known that these words are not spiteful,
As from The Sisters you’re the second delightful-
Yet from your following, it gives pause to note,

Like a bardic mind often does, it floated around until words came out.

~Nature of Gods~
His bow held high with arch of arm,
With but a flick he could disarm.
And like a mother, she is there,
Though keeps us away, out of her hair.
The other Three could careless,
Their battle rages to cause a mess.
The other plots and waits to kill,
Another hunts and takes his fill.
One be praised, for it is good,
All of ...

Far too long, it took her far to long to write. She sat there staring at her book as the page laid there open for all, and as white and blank as Helkris’ fashion sense. She pondered a long moment, on the nature of gods, goddess, and the powers that be. She had seen a god in his true for to day, with all of his wrath and anger he could muster for the occasion. Practically damming his people, was that what gods were? So “humanized,” so full of emotion that screams out and demands attention. ...

Page Forty-Five:

A sketch of a lute with a set of broken cords is sketched onto the page.

~Untitled~

A Broken Cord.
A Shallow Note.
A Dreary Sigh.

[Sung]
An un-plucked tune,
Which makes one cry.
The bard’s role soon

When a mellow melody
Is all she plays,
Her heart grows cold,
and often grays.
Fie! what a horrid fate
For a fey whose songs sedate– ...

The past few days kept Syluné in quite the baffled state of mind. Coralyn seemed to all but disappear and the strange man who had been stalking the woman had now taken it upon himself to do the same to Syluné. Her mind wandered as a bards mind often did.

She had seen the darkly clothed man when Coralyn faded from existence right after she had gone down an alleyway in the lower section of Port, and the only link to her disappearance was perhaps that very same man.

In that flame that Emma made, she /really/ was mainly talking about one PC. . . And I know which one she is talking about. I don't think we really need the script, but perhaps tell people if they plan on looting and not share that they should roll a hide check, or a PP to swipe the item without others seeing it?

I don't really think we need a script for it, just players that are alittle more "RP smart" when it comes to such tasks.

*Shrugs*
