| 1. | Re: Stats for Dummies: Top 100 DMs IG Posted by WickedArtist on 7/16/2013 4:41:13 AM Anyway... I don't belong on this list way up there. I think I ran only a few decent events. Didn't do any "story lines". I wonder how I racked up those hours. -- I'm also Game_Warden by the way for those not in the know.
My only regret is that I've never killed enough players during my stint as a DM. Clearly I lacked proper training and guidance from the other DMs. |
| 2. | Re: Stats for Dummies: The 10 most casted spells in Vives Posted by WickedArtist on 3/9/2006 7:55:51 AM Are stag beetles that scary? I was only afraid to face them with low level characters. Stepping too deep into the cave trying to complete the wife's quest was always something I feared, but never again once they got mid-level.
This inspires me to go out and face the Stag Terror myself with some character. |

| 4. | Re: Reflections Posted by WickedArtist on 7/16/2013 4:38:34 AM Growing up as an obnoxious teenager, Vives had quite a unique significance for me. It would not be hyperbole to say that Vives and everyone involved with it have played some significant role in making me the person I am today. Fictrix can probably attest that my mind never wanders too far from here, and we both have inflicted great amounts of babble on one another concerning Vives even after the world was dead and gone and in the past.

| 5. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by WickedArtist on 11/29/2004 4:11:44 AM Here are the few people I remember and had a remarkable time playing with, though I have fun with everyone else I forget: A big shoutout to Llewen (Glordong), always had lots of fun roleplaying with Glordong, and his sillyness always put a smile on my face. To Para\Doujan (Eerel), for another character I am having a lot of fun playing with. Along with Eerel and Glordong, our characters became quite a family. To Glor (Claudia), for also being much fun, and making a big change in ... |
| 6. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by WickedArtist on 4/8/2007 11:50:50 AM Shoutout also to our crew to Haven. Renter, SQ, CFsimmons. and ofcourse this includes our Muse in the IMPENETRABLE BLACKNESS OF DESPAIR. Yikes. I was on pins and needles. Saana had to cast that Remove Fear just to avoid panic.
That's IMPENETRABLE BLACKNESS OF DISPAIR (tm) by WickedArtist (c) [all copyrights reserved, magically warded and sealed along with rabid badgers] to you! |
| 7. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by WickedArtist on 5/8/2007 12:50:32 AM I would like to give a shoutout to Moriarty. I really have enjoyed him RP Talion under his curse. It has given me a glipse of the depth of Talion's character that I didn't first realized. Well done.
totally second that! |
| 8. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by WickedArtist on 2/24/2007 4:10:14 AM Nice roleplay from everyone, and especially Pretzels (again) - Hats off to you, Bel is a great little oddball!
Oddball? She is the adoreable gnome of adoreability on a scale that outmatched the epitome of adoreability and thus requires a new word such as giadoreability which combines giangatic and adoreability and thus worthily reflects the scale in which she is adoreable!
I always miss the good stuff! |
| 9. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by WickedArtist on 2/24/2007 4:10:14 AM Yay, double post! It also reflects the scale of that maggot-spawning adoreable gnome! A single post was clearly not enough! |
| 10. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by WickedArtist on 6/21/2007 9:57:17 AM Big shoutout to Johe for being such a good sport while being hit on by an old man! Good show! |
| 11. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by WickedArtist on 6/24/2007 2:30:45 AM Darn those filthy non-Elves!
The none-elves touched Valethrion? Do you know what that means?! They might have gotten Elfed! Kill them! Burn their corpses! Kill them and all their family, wives and children!
They might grow up to be ELVES! |
| 12. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by WickedArtist on 10/1/2006 7:33:31 AM Shoutout to Ranger for completely baffling two of my characters at the same day in a way they have never been baffled before, and to everyone who has been at saturday's event. Now Alton really doesn't like elves so much, and considers converting to Heck Almighty the Lord of All Smiteliness. |
| 13. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by WickedArtist on 3/26/2006 12:22:54 PM Shoutout for Trish and St.Raven, for the very fun time of having Alton traveling with Macha and Dorian on the endless quest for crafting. Same for the others who were encountered along the way. It was great fun!
Also a shoutout to the Great One Who Harps, Chiefazizzle, the String Bishop, and to Dias for being the best Frobozz ever ;) |
| 14. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by WickedArtist on 7/24/2008 11:32:04 AM Shoutout to Sirac for showing up after all this time!
*sniffs with nostalgia* |
| 15. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by WickedArtist on 9/18/2007 11:17:08 AM As promised..the ultimate shout out! :)
So many thanks, so many people that shaped my RP life on Vives. If I don't mention you..smack me so I don't forget!
Firstly, I have to thank all the 'beginning' folks. I miss you all so much! Ras (Sinjin) for being a constant companion and whose restless feet helped me see much of the then Vives, Mykal for his tear-jerking story-lines, Coruva, Balthor (and Thomas of course!), Calia and Chandler, Calia ... |
| 16. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by WickedArtist on 10/24/2007 8:15:37 AM Another Shoutout to the Wednesday Morningers. Manic RP all the way.
Sorry about my premature respawn, I didn't think anyone had noticed Roywyne was dead.
Look out W. A. Jarook is now officially an enemy of gnome and badger kind.
You poor, ignorant little pests :P
You have no idea what Jarook is capable of ;) |
| 17. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by WickedArtist on 11/10/2007 3:23:02 PM Sorry I had to bail out after the reset. I was stricken by tiredness and one of those sudden compulsions you guys call 'responsibility'. |

| 21. | Re: DMs: Trent Posted by WickedArtist on 7/16/2013 12:50:38 AM This is why I'm still afraid of you and always shall be... |
| 22. | Re: DMs: Trent Posted by WickedArtist on 7/16/2013 12:34:52 AM Trent was a character I always wanted to stick with. To this day, I don't really understand why. There just so many stupid stupid things I have done with him and to him, so I had every reason to scrap the character and move on to some new idea that I could have a better handle on.
As if there was any chance I was ever going to do that.
There are a lot of things I regret about doing (and not doing) with Trent. Most of the time, I was completely lost and confused about what ... |
| 23. | Re: Alton's punishment - Tarik's wrath Posted by WickedArtist on 7/16/2013 12:38:40 AM I only VAGUELY remember this ever happening.
I wonder if Alton was cured or that I simply forgot about this after a while.
Considering he was an air-headed cleric of Vilyave, a fear of cats seems quite apt.
But never was he afraid of cats as much as he was afraid of FOOOOOOLISH FOOOOOLS. |
| 24. | Re: Alton's punishment - Tarik's wrath Posted by WickedArtist on 7/16/2013 1:29:08 AM Hah.
That reminds me of a different adventure where Alton followed two other PCs, whose names I cannot remember, into the place where the Mind Flayers lived (I think they were called The Gathering?).
Alton stayed in Greater Sanctuary while the two others slaughtered their way through the lair, until they got to the final chamber where a DM had Death Drinker (the evil megasword) waiting under the Mind Flayer control to slaughter the interlopers. And slaughter them it ... |
| 25. | Re: DMs: The Search for the Four Winds Posted by WickedArtist on 6/21/2008 8:23:39 AM ((Thank you, Fictrix, just don't drive too fast over those bumpy posts))
I've had an idea I presented to Fictrix not long ago about rewarding players who contributed (noticeably) to the Four Winds plotline with special, DM-made items unique to each PC. Right now, only three players have actively participated in the series of events related to the storyline: Salt, Amon and Talion.
From a mechanical point of view, I want to strike a balance on the properties of these items ... |
