A letter addressed to Nico marked confidential, low priority
As you asked, I followed the man and his companion to Midor. By the time I caught up with them they had already entered the building and dealt with the problem they had set out to do. I had to maintain a distance from them, having almost give myself away by ... |

So, this was it. She had no reason to be nervous, she knew what the meeting was about, yet still her stomch churned.
It had been two days since the old man had approached her in the Port, given her the message from Mister Jessup requesting she see him as soon as was possible.
For a few minutes she stood outside the doors to P&J's, building up ... |

| 4. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 5/23/2006 6:45:27 AM A huge shout to Kalannar (Kalannar777)
Firstly for allowing me/Dana to cut off one of his fingers while he lay in a drunken stupour
Secondly for him having all his gold stolen
Thirdly, for RPing the lost finger when he awoke, very emotional
And finally for not going completely doo-lally when Dana tried to graft a slug onto his hand to replace the finger
Also to Drado (Deege) for his perfect reaction to the situation.

| 5. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 5/25/2006 1:53:35 AM This is for Fat Sam (docta)
Once again he gave Dana/me another of his amazing historical talks, while out on an adventure. This time in the Hall of Heroes. So many placeables are barely glanced at, but just telling Dana/me about those two chairs, all the crosses etc. was fascinating stuff.
docta, your knowledge of Vives is superb, and the history lessons delivered in Sam's unique style are always a pleasant bonus to any trip. You (docta) probably are not aware of ... |
| 6. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 5/26/2006 5:41:35 AM Big thanks to Fictrix for todays little outing.
I didn't remember to say at the time how much I enjoyed it, and appreciated you taking the time out to do it.
And coming straight after a very long event with several other players too.
Wonderful stuff. Where do you get those ideas? |
| 7. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 6/5/2006 12:31:13 PM Seconded, a very fun event. Both DM's were outstanding, could there have been three maybe? Only one DM I know of uses the word 'Viper' :P
Great fun, well done to all
(apologies for Dana's rather statuesque dance, for some reason the emotes didn't work until 'falls prone') |
| 8. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 4/6/2006 10:16:25 PM Shoutout to BKatt for the light-hearted fun RP in Enders yesterday.
Anna filled Dana's head with a heap of new thoughts, which, being Dana, she promptly took totally the wrong way and lead to more fun when others joined us. |
| 9. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 4/14/2006 8:35:12 AM Big shout to everyone who was on the trip to the tomb in Kobai and Maldovia today. Sam (docta), Limping Lucius (Robber Barron), Daldo (yggdrasil), Tomi (Oragastus), Vakal (Jaded Prophets) and Sparky (del????). I think thats everyone. It was a good trip despite its unfortunate ending. RP was never ignored, most of all, it was fun.
Also, at risk of repeating an earlier post, another shout to BKatt (Cora) for a couple of hours of really good RP in Brandibuck. Cora was at her scheming ... |
| 10. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 4/20/2006 5:50:11 AM This is fast becoming my own personal thread.
First shout goes to Sa'koless, for the trip up the mountain. Jenavive is a wonderful creation. She certainly put some ideas into Dana's head.
Secondly a big shout to all those involved in the quest to 'Refill Nu'men's Gumball machine' earlier today (just who thinks up some of these quests I know not, but they are great)
Those involved were Sam (docta) Sparky (Del 0323) Tomi (Oragastus) and Cora (BKatt)
RP ... |
| 11. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 5/5/2006 9:37:29 AM A huge shout for those involved in the rather heated debate on the coast today. The scariest thing of all ........ between them they have almost convinced Dana that not -ALL- Midorans are evil child - eating monsters. Thankfully Rosen managed to relight the fire just in time. Those present:
Ced - For just being Ced, I guess. My heart bleeds for the poor guy every time he encounters Dana
Rosen - For an outstanding display of indignation, horror and disgust.
|
| 12. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 5/19/2006 3:41:59 AM Yep, well done to all, especially Rosen who kept her cool in the face of insurmountable Dana's, while leading a rag-tag party into the mines
T'Mok Gurzi wrote "There seemed to be a lot of backstory I was not privy to and I found it odd that the group split."
There is a lot of backstory, and there was also a reason Dana split the party into two afterwards. No doubt you will find out shortly as you get to know the world better.
And of course, a huge ... |
| 13. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 1/11/2006 9:46:39 AM This is for Oragastus, who's eccentric mage endured a whole day of Dana.
Despite the fact we both had two 'close calls' with death, the day was both comedic and serious in equal measure, as two kindred spirits discovered each other. At the end we both agreed it had been a good day, and featured one of the most hilarious double deaths ever seen on any server anywhere. I wish I had a screenie.
A great day, made better by an awesome RP'er |
| 14. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 2/17/2006 8:05:47 AM This is for Wicked Artist, and his new character Pietro.
I was starting to get bored, (empty server, seen nobody for hours, Dana had smaaashed everything with a pulse), and was about to log off when Dana met the irrepressible Pietro. We spent about an hour together, the RP was great and the humour exceptional.
My thanks for leaving me with a smile on my face when I did finally have to log for the day |
| 15. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 6/22/2006 3:32:10 AM Well, where to start? Tonight has been one of the best since I came to Vives
Firstly to Barnas and Fennigan for the very brief, but fun, romp to Paws
To Karlena for the time in the Mask, very much fun, and I hope those pipes are clean now.
To The Exile, if death could ever be described as fun, it was a fun death.
To Sam, Holace, Lucius and Cedrych and anyone else I might have bumped into, thanks to all, it was a memorable night. |
| 16. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 7/6/2006 12:47:56 AM Back at you Talos
I would like to give a shoutout to Fen.
I remember you telling me a few days ago about how he was a bad build and died to often, and you made a new character.
I'm real glad you stayed with Fen. He's a well rounded character who has integrated himself into Vives really well. Unless I am mistaken you've only played here a couple of weeks and already Fen is known to most PC's, he has joined storylines and seems to attract a fair amount of DM ... |
| 17. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 7/13/2006 3:17:33 AM Does this warrant a shout? I think so.
To Fennigan and Holace, who spent interminable hours in a cave guarding Lucius' ore. Kudos to you both for your staying power, I know you were both very tired.
No major event, I know, but worth a shout nonetheless |
| 18. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 7/21/2006 12:23:40 AM Two shouts here
Firstly to DSM_IV (Ophelia). What you did tonight was not just great RP, it was also probably the nicest thing I have ever seen on any server, ever. I know RB will join me in thanking you. Extremely thoughtful and generous.
Secondly, to all who took part in Lucius rescue. Fennigan, Nero, Holace, Ulalame and Cedrych, who unfortunately had to drop early on. Nicely done, and nobody died.
((edit)) Just read this and realised I missed out Lucius ... |
| 19. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 7/27/2006 5:21:59 AM And to continue this theme.
Everyone who was involved in tonights episode, especially Ophelia the star of the whole event. Special shout to the DM/s, I don't know who you were, the only clue I got was a description from 'The Narrator', whoever that might be.
Also, as above, to all who went to Se'eths, then had to quit halfway for a reset, after realising that we would need keys to get back down the tower, that we no longer held. A hasted departure, to say the ... |
| 20. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 8/2/2006 11:59:52 AM Adds another voice to the Undreath posse.
Splendid stuff. Well done to all. To RB for suggesting it in the first place, and for Sam agreeing to come despite his reservations. To Salt, for putting Dana straight about a few things concerning those malicioius rumours (there's no truth in them of course).
Also to Ras (Sinjin) for the later RP. I hope you enjoyed it as much as I did. A little conflict periodically can make the whole thing so much more ... |
| 21. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 8/3/2006 12:23:53 AM This is for Barnas for the Naruth trip today.
Firstly, for the huge army of Blade master fire giants he managed to spawn in, without crashing the server, there must have been 20 to 30 of them.
But mostly for the message left in flames outside the temple. A really nice touch, it took me a few minutes to realise it was a message until I lifted the camera to view straight down from above. It was the first time I had ever seen this done, and it totally blew me away |
| 22. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 8/17/2006 2:09:45 AM To Barnas and Robber Barron for the journey to Fiirhallen (see the journal entry later). Quite how Dana's going to get over that little suprise, we'll have to wait and see.
Secondly to Ophelia, Guk, Sam all those involved in the trip to Fenghul.
All in all, a very fun night. |
| 23. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 8/9/2006 5:10:27 AM To Docta (Sam)
Yet another wonderful history lesson.
Since I joined Vives I've learned much, some of it, I admit, has confused me, not least the various powerstruggles that have passed before I joined. Today a fascinating insight into the BH and the Fireknives, Vidus and the P&J partnership. It made things I had puzzled over suddenly become crystal clear. Finally I understood things I had previously only speculated about. I would encourage anyone, ... |
| 24. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 8/27/2006 10:42:05 PM I really must throw the hugest shout to midormight for his performance as Nico tonight.
From the moment he entered the Ferien jail carrying a huge banner, to the moment he left the whole thing was awesome.
I was not only amused by the high level of humour, but awed by the quickness with which he built a believable defence for Dana and Ophelia. The rest of you are just going to have to wait and see, I guess. |
| 25. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Vulpina on 8/31/2006 1:41:56 AM The court drama of tonight
Right, where do I start
Well, obviously with the splendid DM team. Ranger and Barnas.
Phenomenal work, was there really only two of you? Outstanding, really it was.
Nico (midormight) was supreme. What a defence.
Ophelia (DSM_IV) was excellent in her nervousness. (I could feel the noose tightening around Dana's neck with every word you uttered)
To everyone, it was gripping stuff. Thanks to all who ... |
