| 2. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Rosen on 5/19/2006 3:26:31 AM It was fun exploring with you Tim. If it's any consolation, I died shortly thereafter. |
| 3. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Rosen on 5/29/2006 1:25:28 PM Dana, Lucius...
I love the hatred. Thank you. Paladins always struck me as a very bland sort of vanilla before I played Vives. With the mottled history of Midor and your heroic efforts of RP, this attitude has been proven completely wrong. I enjoy every bit of your attentive animosity and the chance to be a part of your characters' lives. *hugs* |
| 4. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Rosen on 6/13/2006 9:10:29 PM Yeah... think I'll be remembering to take myself off the PC Finder list more reliably from now on ;P
... dang the muffin man ... |
| 5. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Rosen on 4/24/2006 1:55:22 PM I'd like to dedicate my first so-called shoutout to two folks, the first being Robber Baron, for his willingness to expand his 'joke' character a bit in order to roleplay with a lowly newbie. Harry's acting as a gateway to Vives for me and it's really appreciated. Also, the RP is often hilarious, often meaningful. The best I've had in a while (No pressure, Baron *chuckles*)
Also would like to thank the DM staff in general, as well as Fictrix in particular, for being so indulgent in ... |
| 6. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Rosen on 5/7/2006 6:32:35 AM It's never too late to have black, oozing tentacles from the Otherworld come and suck us into oblivion, replacing our characters with goateed, opposite personality sociopaths. Much fun, Fic. I'm having an absolute blast. Ced - yep!
And Brant, Vrodo, Ty, hell... everyone on that event. That was spectacular. Wheee! |
| 7. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Rosen on 5/12/2006 9:40:15 PM YES YESSSSSSS!
I wish I knew how to make my font bigger!
Vives has custom gods, but there are plenty of potential patron saints of Karli-butt. So very very glad to see that you're giving it a try! *hug* |
| 8. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Rosen on 6/20/2006 3:12:16 AM You're a rock-solid RPer, Moriarty. Much fun as always. Great group to RP with. |
| 9. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Rosen on 7/25/2006 3:04:41 AM Yes. Party fun. Major thumbs-up to The Shadow. Some of the most productive talk I've ever had with a DM on Vives and a hair-raising killspree to boot. |
| 10. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Rosen on 8/16/2006 11:18:09 AM Good times with Ulalume, Balthor Shmuckface Necrocapitalist, and Barnas. Pretty darn sweet. Hope everyone got that vampire business sorted out. |
| 11. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Rosen on 8/24/2006 2:34:51 AM This is a pretty general shoutout, but to all you posters out there, I absolutely love the unreliable narration. Now, since this is a story that we're all subjectively shaping together, I guess it's all kinda unreliable, but I truly, truly dig analyses of situations from the minds of particular characters. Irony soup with perspective sticks tastes delicious and you kids are great. |
| 12. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Rosen on 9/7/2006 11:53:18 PM Ditto atcha. It's nice to meet a necromancer PC who faces the ostentation of my paladin head on, and you held out for that long-awaited interaction as much as I did. I hope to see more of you, now that we've managed to clarify and muddy the waters of morality a bit... what -is- a soul, anyway? Isn't it just a lazy thing that slacks for all eternity unless it's put to honest labor?
But yes, high stakes RP was great. *hi fives* |
| 13. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Rosen on 9/13/2006 11:32:08 AM Despite Rosen's scathing review of Sam Black, I enjoyed the RP bunches. Just had to say it to make sure it was understood, even though it probably is and this is meaningless. Yay! |
| 14. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Rosen on 9/15/2006 11:33:01 AM Yeah Moriarty, that was tight. Sorry for leaving early, but I was falling asleep at the keyboard. Hence Rosen's irresponsible pushing ahead of the party. :) |
| 15. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Rosen on 10/13/2006 4:18:52 AM Yeah, I have to say I was about five moves into the game before I realized just how outclassed I was. And it's a special kind of humiliation when you get your intellectually bruised butt handed to you by a half orc in a red dress. |
| 16. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Rosen on 10/25/2006 2:21:17 AM Yeah seriously Nero. Top notch tomfoolery. It's an often thankless task to be out there very day, running around in circles, misunderstanding large words, doing backflips, and being adorably inflappable. *thumbs up*
Also thanks, Vulpina, for the extended RP with Guy. It's one of the most interesting and definitely the most unexpected dynamics I've had on the server so far. Also my first time actually trying to be a realistic, fortysomething manchild, so that might have something to ... |
| 17. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Rosen on 1/3/2007 8:51:14 PM This is an enormous shoutout to the people who masterminded and/or spearheaded the player-run, player-sleuthed Port Royale Psycho plot (aka What Would You Do For Love.) You have to realize that they are working without the carrot or the stick of DMship and are therefore at a huge disadvantage. The plot was accessable for any interested characters, new or old, Uber or n00b, silly or serious. It was great fun. Hi five.
Ancillary shoutout to everyone else involved. We're cool too. |
| 18. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Rosen on 1/12/2007 2:42:23 AM Yeah, thanks to all who showed up. Thank you all for putting effort into what could have been (but wasn't) another aimless tavern ramble! |
| 19. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Rosen on 1/18/2007 7:17:15 PM I would like to echo both of your shoutouts, DSM. |
| 20. | Re: Shoutouts Posted by Rosen on 2/12/2007 1:56:51 AM I would also like to thank the DM involved as well as everyone's willingness to go on one of our probably-doomed-but-still-fun trips. I had a great time. |
| 21. | Re: What Would You Do For Love? Posted by Rosen on 12/21/2006 9:28:51 PM It had all been set up. Port was slathered in posters advertizing the best exotic singer there never was. Puggie was in the dark, but happy enough with my assurances that a talented pair of breasts in the Pearl could only drive his clientele to further drink. By all accounts, Chris (if this Chris was truly the man we were after) made his hunting grounds in the darker areas of Port Royale and it didn't get much darker then the Pearl after midnight.
A few interested folks, the kind you ... |
| 22. | Re: What Would You Do For Love? Posted by Rosen on 12/20/2006 11:16:00 AM The last thing I wanted was any visitors to disturb the delicate balance of a hangover cigar breakfast, but there it was anyway: slipped under the mat and into what passed for my life. Ever since I'd hit the big time I'd been feeling off, like someone had slipped me a solid gold mickey laced with threats and broken promises. Of all the ways to be played, this one was probably on the books as the best, but it raised my hackles anyway. Also disturbing was the feeling that I'd never figure out ... |
| 23. | Re: What Would You Do For Love? Posted by Rosen on 12/20/2006 1:02:56 PM "Okay, Puggie. I been payin' you rent fair and square for months without any bull. Time to square up. There's a girl I know. Beautiful voice and got a body to make the gods' own pants too tight. She's lookin' for a break. I don't wanna see her hookin' out there with Candy's trackmarked thighs, so I told her I could score her a gig.
Well, Puggie. Can I? And can you stand to have this place make some honest money for once? It'll be more pleasant and less violent than most nights. ... |
| 24. | Re: The (Mis)Adventures Continue! Posted by Rosen on 12/1/2007 1:56:03 PM Thanks a lot for the games, Warden. It's been like great to have an excuse to romp around with a few of my favorite RPers. |
| 25. | Re: The (Mis)Adventures Continue! Posted by Rosen on 12/10/2007 10:47:18 PM Maybe! |
