Ummm...I used to have no problem connecting directly to Darkmyst, but I just bought a new computer, and now I get this message, no matter what I do...

Does anybody have any idea why? :(

Shoutout to Trishy, Yggsdrazil (playing Willio Wild in game, necessitating a will save whenever anyone emoted his name), and especially Xerah for the little incident in the bug caves last night. It was great fun...GREAT FUN. Who'd a' thunk a little trip to try out a new spell and help a poor widow would result in near death and having to have your bacon saved by Captain Highliner.

*gives a big thumbs up*

Thanks to Robber Baron for some fantastic RP last night (and for admirably putting up with the drama queen syndromeWink).

Also to Xerah, who is always great fun to RP with. And the others who participated as well :)

Shoutout to Tamer. After reading a few of his posts, I understand a little more what happened, and I look forward to running into him again. Despite my 50+ hours on Vives, (they have all come in the last couple of weeks), I have very limited experience with PW roelplaying, so I certainly didn't expect his "affliction" to be generated by a PC. (I thought it was some DM generated quest, and was rather disappointed at the end that I didn't get any "quest xp"). Read my tale ...

Yep, shoutout right back at Barnas for the tour. And to all for the fun interplay.

Big shoutout to Imperious and Rosen for the impressive RP later that night.

Macha, thanks for proving that you can have an understated and relatively quiet (or maybe I just haven't been around her enough??), but still complex and fascinating character, and that listening in NWN is an art all to itself that you have mastered...

Definitely hasn't been around her enough. No more needs to be said :)

Folks in Paws put the "RP" in "RP Server" tonight--the folks who weren't impaled upon spears, that is. Thanks folks!

Yes. Wish we could have hung around longer for that.

Apologies to Fat Sam, who was served a pint of whatever that was in a pail on the floor behind the bar of Ol' Shabby. Served cold, at that!

Shoutout to Trishy for all the great RP over the last couple of months. I laughed, I cried, I pulled out my hair, and I became way too addicted to Vives.

Thanks for that,

I just want to send out a huge shoutout to Calmeir, Vince Klortho, Nathan, and Imperious for the great RP and the insane and ultimately ill-fated assault on the grey dwarves last night. It was about an hour-long adrenaline rush for me, and I haven't had so much fun on the server in quite awhile.

I'm pretty sure none of you will ever come along to help sate Lucius's curiosity again, but I appreciated that run-through. Thanks to all of you!

Just a quick shout to Time4Bed aka Leon, for the Troll Bridge (Toll Bridge?) incident today. It was nice to have a PC introduce some conflict into the game.

The best moment for me, a bit later, was Adrian's incredulity at the idea of hunting a Blue Dragon after Lucius was too chicken to fight the big bully. Anyway, hats off for that, once more.

Since you logged before I could say it, big shoutout to Docta aka Fat Sam for the trip to Naillamne, the trip to Maldovia, the trip to Undraeth, the trip to the Frost Giants, the trip to...*tries to catch a breath*...well, all sorts of places.

Honestly, whenever Sam is around I try to catch up to him because it is just way too fun, whether it involves heart-pounding action, or just great and generally very funny RP, so I guess this is a shoutout for an accumulation of fun times.

Thanks to Vulpina for all the great roleplay over the last month and longer I guess. Being part of Dana's story gave some meaning to Lucius as a character, and RPing with you is a heckuva lot of fun. One never knows what Dana is going to do, and her actions are so often the catalyst for actions of other characters. I suspect she is one of those characters that others gravitate to because they know she'll either do something funny, or decide to go out and bring them along to do something fun ...

I'd like to dedicate my first so-called shoutout to two folks, the first being Robber Baron, for his willingness to expand his 'joke' character a bit in order to roleplay with a lowly newbie. Harry's acting as a gateway to Vives for me and it's really appreciated. Also, the RP is often hilarious, often meaningful. The best I've had in a while (No pressure, Baron *chuckles*)

Lowly newbie? Hah! *won't even reply to that comment*

How my lowly level 6 character made it out alive I will never know.

Apparently, I am getting soft in my old age. That and the fact Lucius kept them entertained by running around, and around, and around, and around...

Well, so as to show some semblance of being on-topic, I had fun. Thanks to all who went along for the bloodbath:

To everyone who was at the Buckshire fair, especially DiabloStan (Balthor) for the magic show. Well done!
Also a shoutout to Fictrix for an awesome lot of events recently. Each and every one is well thought out and is a whole lot of fun.
Keep it up.

Agrees, and just wants to add that Tyailin's story was great.

I have come to the conclusion that there is somehow a link between being a fantastic writer and playing a paladin in this game. A big shoutout to Rosen, Imperious, Vince Klortho, and especially Fictrix for putting up such a compelling back-story to the events that take place in game.

Whenever I see a new post related to the Illumine Alliance, the Aristi, or simply the lives of these PCs and CPCs, I can't wait to read it.

Also, a little late, but a quick shoutout to Chief ...

Although it was a pretty short meeting, I just have to say that Karli (Marlena) is just a riot. Completely impossible to keep up with, non-stop, relentless, hilarious, chatter. Lucius' time with her was short, but -so- enjoyable. Welcome to the server.

And, to Rosen...great recruiting job. It's fantastic seeing all these wonderful new players show up and really add to the texture of vives.

I just wanted to thank Taulath for the 'Brother Valtine' event, and give a shout to everyone who went and scowled and groaned and pursed lips and asked questions and otherwise continued to bring their characters to life. In no particular order other than my scattered memory, they were:

Renter6, Fictrix, Vulpina, VinceKlortho, Rosen, Ygsdrazil, Jaded Prophets, and Chief (a little cameo at the end). I hope I didn't forget anyone.

Darn, wish sleep hadn't gotten in the way ...

Lots of folks lately deserve some mention here, and it's nice to see this thread receiving as many posts as it does. The people that play opposite us are the ones that turn Vives from a land with monsters to kill to a place that is different every day your character wakes up (i.e. you log in). There are a lot of people I should send shoutouts to for some great and sustained rp over time, but...ummm....not today.

Raises a glass to everyone who came on the expedition to get some living lumber, and to the Exile for making it just a bit more scary.

They were: Rosen, Kalannar, Wrin, Brant, Yggsdrazil, and Ophelia (all IG names)

Good on Romulus for giving everyone lots to talk about back at Buckshire later, as well.

Kudos to the Exile, Vulpina (yes, not a DM but part of the show), and the Shadow (I think - maybe it was a different DM and maybe there were more of you...hard to tell when it's a bunch of orcs) for the feast at M'Gok Tukar, and the performance.

Kudos to all the PCs who were there spectating and interacting as well. You were a great group of RPers acting IC, and it was fun to watch and be part of. I won't make mention of all the Frobozz stuff, but that was fun too, and a little ...

As someone who's seen some ups and downs of dm involvement on the server, I just want to say, to all the dms lately...wow...the world is definitely living and breathing these days. One cannot travel -anywhere- and take -anything- for granted. Little comments like..."we'll have no problems beyond here, there's just a few cougars out there" have no relevance these days, and I for one think that's fantastic. Kudos to all of you for making the world a lot more unpredictable....and ...
