1.Re: DMs: Maldovia Victims

Loved this storyline Ficcy. I just reread all of the player stories that are linked in that post and it just reminds me of the caliber of roleplayers and storytellers we had here.

I'll follow suit and say that I would like to see something along the lines of Vives waaaayyy in the future or something entirely different. Leaning towards Vives in the future as there is already so much history and lore that you hate to throw something good away unless you want to experiment with something else. Let our old characters lie and let the plots be part of history.

A ton of great ideas out there as usual with this crowd, and also a variety of opinions which is one of the things that made Vives great. I am curious on one thing though. What is the target audience that you are creating the PW for? Is it the average NWN1 player that are still out there? Is it those that have migrated back here and others that are like minded that some may know? Is it something else completely? Or is that something that you are trying to determine with these posts?

Hey Coruva! Long time no post!

I sent the message out to everyone who posted in these forums. About 3/5ths of them got through. I'm glad to see you are one of them.

And how about you? What have you been up to?

Also the short version: Got married, got divorced, great job that ...

Stats I'd really like to see:

* Top ten characters with the highest exploration xp. (Let me guess...Luther's #1)
* A ranking of the most kill happy dm's. (Whether through monsters or that nasty 'lil button. Yes, I know you all snicker with delight!)
* The top ten traps that I repeatedly forget about and step on. (Oh..and if you could somehow highlight them for my character from now on)
* The number of times I have tried to cast a spell in an anti magic zone ...

Just a general shoutout to all players who have either astounded me with excellent rp in game plus the truly wonderous forum posts that have been occurring over the last several months. While I do not often get a chance to play, the forum posts allow those of us who are sidelined to keep up to date with the daily happenings and understand the mood of the characters in Vives.

Also, a big kudos to the dm team. I am amazed by the quality of the events that have been running lately. ...

84. You go on vacation, away from all tvs, radios, and computers. Yet you spend a good portion of the time thinking over neat plot ideas.

I don't know why anyone would be suprised that Duante fell apart in the 4th quarter. He did it for the Vikings for how many seasons? The guy does not handle high pressure situations very well at all. Heck, the Dolphins O Line was actually giving him fairly decent time for many of his passes. He just doesn't seem to think well in the pocket near the end of the game.

If there was one opportunity to beat Mykal, it would have been this week. Too bad I made the mistake of thinking that the Bears might actually run over the Vikes. What was I thinking not starting Drew Brees?

“Newest reports gathered by the sentries tell that the Gwaerdhalme Scouts ave returned only with locations of bodies, but not a livin soul brought in with them,” Commander Bassir reported. “If’n ya want me ta send em out again, I can. But we are runnin a fools errand at this point ta think that the Greys left any alive after nightfall. Ya heard the screams as well as I as we marched. The messages received by the dwarven heralds were brief and to the point. While none refused aid, each was truthful in their response. Each village, city, or nation had been affected by the recent attacks and rumors of war. So many had been made homeless and what little aid that could be given was quickly being used. None were willing to overextend their own supplies with the trade routes already disrupted. In short, the dwarven plight was aknowledged, but at this time there was little to ...

When Coruva is out wandering

Me and the Eagle - Steve Earle

The eagle looked down on the river below
He wrapped his wings round him and he fell like a stone
And the big salmon fought but the talons held true
Shuddered as the world turned from silver to blue
I stood there in awe though I'd seen it before
I was born in these mountains and I'll die here for ...
