A Song, From the Hand of Me Posted: 08 Dec 2003 12:11 PM |
((I think everyone knows who I'm talking about, and we're still good friends :P))
"The Hung Cleric"
There was once a lass pretty as sin And she had great powers deep within She healed and she helped Wherever a pain yelped And she undid all our fine work!
We grabbed a long rope She hadn’t given up hope We shied from the light As to keep out of sight And she soon was giving a querk
Well she did the gallows dance She had pissed in her pants She was quite abashed But the rope had made a long gash And soon she bled out on the floor
The body was limp She was mocked by a gimp She was paraded about the streets Soon we had a great feast And we were happy for more
But with the guards it did not sit They threw a great fit The hunted us as dogs We hid behind logs And we repelled their every attack
We looted the bodies between every fight It wasn’t of need but rather of spite We soon had to retreat It was a great feat But our comrades covered our backs
The guards never caught us Though they put up a fuss So we fetched another healer Who would soon be a stealer Because we were going to keep the soul
The soul was soon split So one could not save it We stored the parts in bottles Her memory we refused to coddle And we tossed them in the sea of ‘ole! |

Would -someone- kindly post a reply or two? I would like to know what people think of it. Otherwise I might think nobody liked it! And surely -someone- had to like it! (I hope :P) |

a) I only -thought- of your PC while writing it. I'm hoping they might make it into a songbook IG so bards will sing my tale :P b) Well, really isn't a B :D
Here's another one I wrote, though I have that slight feeling it won't be put IG :P
The Land Before Vives
There was a DM He was a mean man He gave many people a fright
I didn’t agree with him It was a great sin So I had to keep out of sight
Soon there was war I had made up some lore To describe in great detail
This man was a God I thought him a clod So I put it into my tale
He was not glad In fact he was mad But he chose not to show his teeth
The next time we met There was a great fret It seemed I was showing grief
I knew not its mean I was still a newbie So I continued in my ways
Soon they caught on Me they spied on And I was banned for the rest of my days
The lesson was learned A second chance was not earned All my friends I left behind
I learned how to roleplay I was on every day Manners were soon put into my mind
My good other friend His time was to end For he was going to Vives I followed him in Great fun was within And I have been here a good many days
My skills are much greater I’m a respected player Except I kill all my chars
But that is Okay I can change my ways If only I have a care

Here's a couple Christmas Carols Vivevanized. The first is to the tune of "Oh tannenbaum", the second is to the tune of the first verse of "We three kings" (I can't remember anything else of it )
Okay...
Oh Arathon, Oh Arathon, how lethal are thy monsters, Oh Arathon, Oh Arathon, how lethal are thy monsters! You have them shoot heavy bows Or have them summon just for show Oh Arathon, Oh Arathon, how lethal are thy monsters
Oh Quietus, Oh Quietus, you debug the game for us Oh Quietus, Oh Quietus, you debug the game for us Where would we be without your skill? Whe we might leave or easily kill Oh Quietus, Oh Quietus, you debug the game for us
Oh Great DM's, Oh Great DM's, we love you so very much Oh Great DM's, Oh Great DM's, we love you so very much You give us quests to complete And then we flee and use our feet Oh Great DM's, Oh Great DM's, we love you so very much
Oh Role Players, Oh Roleplayers you are truely important Oh Role Players, Oh Roleplayers you are truely important This is why we are here For everyones fun we do fear Oh Role Players, Oh Roleplayers you are truely important
Okay, this one is the spiffy cool "We three kings" one.
We three players of Vives are Fighting monsters near and far Questing here sojourning there Traveling with many a care
There before us is a corpse Disappearing are our hopes Surely the DM will truely save us Oops I forgot he sent to slay us
Who is this mean old DM? It's probly Ara drunk again There's a Balor here's a Solar This destruction shall spread very far
Your armor you should don If not you'll be dead by dawn Run with speed and you shall see Yet another day full of glee
You are now safe again But you wonder when will it end Every day you escape your doom Yet with Ara you shall die soon
Hope you enjoy! |
