The Book of Vives

Hey folks!

Well I just spent a great deal of time going through RP and Character posts chronologically as they pertain to the guyvers, and their friends, ( and enemies) and I can't shake the feeling that there's the makings of a pretty interesting fantasy novel there. I've been feeling the writing "itch" lately and have been toying with the idea of starting the monumental task of sorting through everything, doing research with old DM's who care or remember, filling in the empty spots, and removing some of the redundancies, and seeing if there's a diamond in the rough there. This game, and many of the threads I have read are the intellectual property of many people here tho, as the map and NPC's are the intellectual property and years of hard work by the builders and DM's so I guess I am asking everyone how they might feel about me doing something like this and permission before I make the move?

For my part (of which I think there is sadly very little as pertains to guyvering) I'm all for it!

I think if you'd ever be looking at a novel you could sell or do anything commercial with, you'll be on very shaky ground. Like you say, just too many people involved.

But if looking at doing it just for the joy of doing it, I'd say go for it.

Either way, FWIW you are welcome to use anything of mine, and if I can be of help please feel free to contact me. And will gladly help as time and RL allows! :)

Cheers,

Sirac

YesSmiley If you'd like to use anything of mine, or talk to me about it, let me know. Interestingly I had started a novel based on Macha quite a while back. Makes me want to pick it up again.

Coretta Alandar - Cleric of Midoran
Dekla Debena - whatever

That's an amazing idea Johe! I wish I had posted more of Tomi and Orag's stories in the threads. I would love to read the novel and relive the glory days. Good luck and I'm dying to read it when you're done!

Awesome Tomi. You could always write something now and I could slot it in. I'd like to see more of Tomi's back story
