...Are fun, when you're an Elf.
I recall writing about this before (at least, I think I do), but it's still annoying as Hell.
Getting blasted for 99% of your health and left near-death on the streets of Midor is also fun; especially when you're forced to respawn there from half the world away.
Can this respawn point please be changed? |

| This happened to me as well when I was killed in the Mazadhi jungle. Darn snakes and that potent venom.. Woke up in Midor, only to get smited when i walked outside. I thought it was like a harm spell - until I tried to escape the city and was killed by Midorian himself entering the docks. |

| I got respawned in the Midor infirmary from dirtnapping (really sandnapping) in the Kobai mountains. I thought it was my punishment for dying too many times. : P |

Kobai Crypts. The one with the Death's Head lich. (I thought you were the DM that spawned that Ruin Golem, Mr. Sprinkles. )
But yeah, similar story. I die in the crypt, wake up in Midor, where an NPC tells me they found my body on a regular patrol into the crypt and brought me back for recovery.
Which strikes me as odd on so many levels: Why would Midorans be rooting around the Kobai crypts? Why would Midorans touch anything they find on the ground - even fresh corpses? Why would Midorans take the time and effort to drag an Elf corpse all the way back to Midor? Why wouldn't Midorans take said corpse right to a torture chamber of some sort for questioning?
I've since remembered that using shape change spells (at least, of the arcane variety) grants immunity to Midoran's hateful glare, but still; new characters, non-spellcaster characters, and low-level characters are ill-equipped to deal with Midor's racism mechanics.
Thus, I still think it'd be fantastic if Midor could be changed just a little, so that resurrections into Midor only occur within Midor itself (IE, someone finds themselves in the sewers and dies), but resurrections outside Midor and its territories function like respawns into everywhere else.
