A technical question Posted: 30 Oct 2003 06:24 PM |
| My hard drive fried a few weeks ago and I had to reinstall my NWN and SoU. Now, when I play my char has no voice. When I click on an emote such as hello, goodbye, laugh, etc, the words appear but the voice does not! Any ideas as to why or what can be done to fix it? I've reinstalled the game twice and its still the same. |

| Not sure what you mean about a "sound overide"? If I did, I didn't do it intensionally. Any ideas on how to check/fix it? I also noticed that I have no creature sounds. I have backround music and attack sounds but no "goblin squeals". |

| Speaking of sound... this might be a bit easier, I've had no sound for the past month or two now. It says the Soundcard works fine, the speakers are plugged into the right holes, I think I got the right drivers... and yet no sound. I've heard the speakers crackle right when I plug 'em in, but after that? Nothing. I don't think they're blown. Any ideas? |

Check your audio settings for NWN.
From the main menu, go to Options
Then Sound Options.
Make sure the voice volumn slider is at an adequate level (90% or so)
If thats not it, we'll have to think of something else |

Does your computerhave plugs for both internal and external speakers, Tasra? If so, try turning the power off and switching plugs.

OK, I thought I tested all the little plugs in the back, but I ran through them again. After 2 months of NO SOUND, I just got it to work. I had my speakers plugged into the wrong hole...
